Science Art - The mouse retina

Hey guys!

As a job, I am working as a neuroscientist. In my free time, I sometimes try to turn science into art. The painting I am sharing with you combines both the system that I am working on (the retina) and the technique I use the most (electron microscopy). I made this painting from hundreds of electron micrographs (magnification of 40.000x), where I took the images from the individual layers and stitched them together before printing everything on a solid surface. I made this piece as a present for my former supervisor. I put a lot of work in it and hope it is worth sharing :-).

Additionally, with the rise of NFTs I was wondering, whether there is a method to turn the digital version of this piece into a NFT. I am quite new to the crypto community, so if someone has experience with it I would be happy to get some advice.
