I love blackberries and pick them as I am walking around in the wild, but they will not come into their own completely until mid-August here ... I don't think we have anything like this crickets in these parts, but I will be keeping my eyes and ears open now ... I do hear crickets here in late August through early October!

Here are also just starting to turn from red to black, so the peak of the season will be in mid - August. I'm sure you have some other interesting monsters waiting on the shrubs there :)
