Linear Approximation: Introduction

(Edited)

In this video I go over a brief introduction to Linear Approximation and explain why it is a very important tool and sometimes necessary in approximating the values of any function as opposed to directly calculating those functions which can be complicated and sometimes impossible.

Linear Approximation - Introduction

Linear Approximation

Thus we can approximate f(x) as a linear function (i.e. a line) near x = a.

The idea is that it might be easy to calculate a value f(a) of a function, but difficult (or even impossible) to compute nearby values of f.

Thus we settle for the easily computable values of the linear function L(x)

This is called the Linear Approximation or Tangent Line Approximation of f at a.

haha welcome to the new world order! Basically all countries are going this route, even Canada... I think it is all preparing for a third world war vs the usual "bad guys" China, Iran, Russia, North Korea etc.

My view is that all countries are merely different departments of a global government that has always ruled... but that is for another discussion haha

I dont' think that there is a global government. I just think that people are becoming bad like pigs in "Animal Farm".

ahhh yes, my view is that practically there is no difference between a global government and the one portrayed in Animal Farm in which the pigs turn into the same rulers as before; thus rulers change but the top-down government remains the same.
