CLOSE CIRCUIT MONITORING SYSTEM

A few percent of us won’t know the full meaning of CCTV, having seen several short funny clips on YouTube where commuters are teased with the question and fail woefully. Well before I chose this career path I too didn’t know the full meaning, it was something I don’t come across everyday, I didn’t even know what one looks like, nor how it functions. Safety is everybody's responsibility so that’s why it’s of ultimate importance that you should be safety cautious.

People can protect their safety in a variety of methods, including hiring a bodyguard. This is a regular practice among celebrities, who are likely to carry a licensed handgun and pocket pepper spray, which is mostly utilized by women. All of the things I've discussed have to do with the individual: how do you keep track of all security concerns on your "real estate"?

Cables: The type needed for this process is the network cables which are in categories. When I say categories I meant the CAT5, 6, 6A, 7 etc. The most used in this family is the category 6 and 6A. Sometimes most establishments come with their own standards when it comes to network cables, all the time they go for 6A where the insulation is better than that of the original 6 and the pricing is on the high side. When I offer my design I always go for category 6 cause it’s cheaper and I am still going to pass the cables through conduit.

Cameras: This comes in different shapes and sizes with the Ip65, and the day and night technology built into the camera system. The camera is still able to view even when it’s dark, they are of different mega pixels that are 2MP, 4MP, 5MP etc. The mega pixels are chosen based on the nature of the installation and the viewing range. There are also some cameras with some special functions like audio, motion sensing, and vehicle license plate number scanning.

Network Video recorder: This is the machine that houses the data collected by the camera in it. There is a storage system that is installed in it which is the hard disk. With the network video recorder you will be able view back weeks, month old data in the event of any security breach. It is also like the back bone of the whole operation without the NVR your installation won’t be able to work even if you are terminating directly to a switch. The NVR also comes with POE technology which is powered over the Ethernet.
