Determination of heavy metals in water (Pb) and how they affect fish and plants! (OC)👨🎓👨🏫
INTRODUCTION🕵️♀️🕵️♂️💥
METHODOLOGY🅰🅱💯
If we say C = m / v we say that the concentration of a compound is the mass of a dissolved solute and v is the total volume of the solution, to summarize we dilute the lead oxide in various concentrations, 5% 10% 15% 20% 25% 30% 35% 40% 45% 50% apart from a bottle we call a control bottle to compare how is the development of living organisms in a normal non-polluting pattern!

In the following days more negative changes were observed on the species subject to experiment, in the lowest concentrations 0% 5% 10% there were still no changes! But when we observe the concentrations of 30-50%, the fish swim disoriented, and a red dot is observed in the gills, the leaves of the lemna are almost yellow as if the chlorophyll stopped doing its job! the greatest impact was in concentrations 40-50%

Day 7-10🧤🔍🧫🔬👨🏫
CONCLUSION🔍🧫🔬👨🏫
Very low levels of pollutant may not have an apparent effect on the fish, as it would not show external signs of disease, but it could decrease the fecundity of the fish, leading to a long-term decline and one-off extinction of fish populations. Contamination can affect reproduction directly (affecting free gametes (sperm or eggs) that are released into the water) or indirectly (accumulating in the reproductive organs, being able to interrupt the normal production of steroids, causing a defective production both in males and females, decreasing the quality and quantity of sperm and egg production) (Ebrahimi & Taherianfard, 2011). Other tissues in which heavy metals can accumulate are in the skin, muscles, intestines and gills (Uysal, 2011). In the gills, in the short term, the mucus density of the gill cells can be increased, and an increase in the basal level of cortisol, which may be associated with modifications of the fish's physiology to adapt to the high concentrations of the metal. (SM Wu et al, 2007). Another defense mechanism of metabolism, in this case against oxidative stress caused by the ingestion of metals, is glutathione and associated enzymes, responsible for restoring the balance between oxidants and antioxidants (Srikanth et al, 2013).
The accumulation of Pb in plant cells affects the photosynthetic physiology of the plant. There are studies that report that heavy metals such as Pb, Cd, Cu and Zn in high concentrations affect carbon fixation and membrane permeability in Lemna minor L. (Filbin and Hough, 1979, Barceló et al., 1988)
When we compare these two works with techniques similar to ours and with similar species, we observe that plants are less resistant to Pb than Poecilia, the latter has the ability to adapt its organism to tolerate levels of Pb, although both species collapse at high concentrations 35 % -50% these metals reach our rivers and lakes through wastewater, industries, fertilizers! many species are not able to tolerate high levels of lead (sensitive species) others tolerate but with negative effects on their physiology that in the long term end up not resisting and leading to extinction!🤔👨🏫👨🎓...
My call is respect for our planet! avoid environmental pollution! With this experiment I have shown you how little by little our water reservoirs will become if we do nothing ...💥📛🌏🌎
