Greetings friends! Today, 05/15, the super strawberry moon was seen here in Portugal between 9:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m., being nine o'clock the perfect time to see this moon that although it is called "strawberry moon" is simply a myth that acquires this color since we see it much brighter and a little "just a little" more yellowish! It's the second supermoon I've captured this year! Do you remember my post about that big "worm" moon? If you haven't seen it yet, you can access it on my blog! In today's post we will try to explain scientifically why the moon is called that?๐ŸŒ๐Ÿ’ฅ๐Ÿง

This beautiful astronomical event was scheduled to take place between June 14 and 15, 2022, to see it we did not need telescopes or binoculars, the moon would be so large that with the naked eye we could differentiate its large size from the one we are used to! depending on the country we could see the point where the moon would be closest to the earth here in Portugal it was between 9:00 p.m. and 9:20 p.m. and at 10:00 p.m. its large size was not appreciated! I use my powerful telescope to be able to see details that the naked eye would not see! like craters!๐Ÿ˜ฒ๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿซ
๐Ÿ•ต๏ธโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐ŸŒ‘๐ŸŒ•

You are probably wondering!! How come I didn't see the "pink" moon yesterday, and of course it's a myth! the moon is not seen in that color! but it doesn't have your original color either! First of all, I would like to clarify that to understand this phenomenon we must know what the term "Supermoon" means, and that is because astronomers attribute the term to the moon when it is closest to our planet! and at the same time it is in its brightest emission phase!! do you like numbers? so to be more exact the moon was today "13% bigger" and "30% brighter" imagine seeing the moon with a telescope in its full phase?? it is difficult because it emits a lot of brightness now imagine photographing it at this stage??๐Ÿ˜จ๐Ÿ˜จ๐Ÿ˜ฒ
๐Ÿ˜ฎ๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿ’ป๐Ÿ“š

Now we move on to the most curious fact! why is it called that? scientifically there is no "why" it is called like that... In the northern hemisphere in this phase of the moon the "strawberry harvests" are carried out again the American aborigines were the ones who baptized this super moon! just like what happened with the "super worm moon"! "Algonquins" was called the tribe that named this pretty moon! the moon is at a difference of "40,000 kilometers when it is in this phase" giving that aspect of being much closer!๐Ÿง ๐ŸŒ•๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿ’ป

In Europe the tradition of this super moon is different! The Europeans baptized it as the "pink" moon, which was also related to the harvest of roses! There is an interesting astronomical fact with this phenomenon and it is that "every 50 years" this moon appears and coincides with the "June solstice" for example here in Portugal we are in summer and the super strawberry moon indicates that in our hemisphere! and it would be the opposite of the southern hemisphere that indicates winter! and I find it very interesting how ancient tribes could predict the weather seasons just by looking at the moon!๐Ÿง ๐ŸŒ•๐ŸŒ๐Ÿงญ

"The arrival of the colonizers in America caused them to adopt some names to their calendar", and it makes total sense as in our calendar in the month of June the moon is called "strawberry moon", at this point the moon reflects "more sunlight", according to NASA the color of the moon does not change! What does affect its color is the weather condition of our night! its duration is three days! And did you know that England is known as "honeymoon"?๐Ÿง ๐ŸŒ•๐ŸŒ‘

I didnโ€™t know that a pink moon was called a strawberry moon. What a funny name! I will go to sleep more clever tonight... By the way, as always, I enjoyed your pictures and your blog.

Cheers!

That's a nice system you got there! Unfortunately I've only been able to see the moon from my window for the last 2-3 days, but it was so beautiful even seen from the distance!

These are great. I had planned to get out with my camera, but cloudy and rainy here. I had an opportunity a couple days before the full moon, but didn't get the camera out. I thought nah, I'll wait a day or two for the full moon that will be awesome. Well, apparently it was, but I didn't get to see it! Looking forward to getting out for some moon pics again soon though even if not the full.

Watch out for the human traffickers at hivefest. You wont know it until its too late. STAY AWAY! Beware, traffickers can be women or men! They will act nice until they dont. There is human trafficking going on around this type of crypto. I have witnessed it. They literally have attempted my murder and are trying to kill me with V2K and RNM. Five years this has been happening to me, it started here, around people that are still here. Homeland security has done nothing at all, they are not here to protect us. Dont we pay them to stop shit like this? The NSA, CIA, FBI, Police and our Government has done nothing. Just like they did with the Havana Syndrome, nothing. Patriot Act my ass. The American government is completely incompetent. The NSA should be taken over by the military and contained Immediately for investigation. I bet we can get to the sources of V2K and RNM then. https://ecency.com/fyrstikken/@fairandbalanced/i-am-the-only-motherfucker-on-the-internet-pointing-to-a-direct-source-for-voice-to-skull-electronic-terrorism ..... https://ecency.com/gangstalking/@acousticpulses/electronic-terrorism-and-gaslighting--if-you-downvote-this-post-you-are-part-of-the-problem if you run into one of them you may want to immediately shoot them in the face. 187, annihilate, asphyxiate, assassinate, behead, bleed, bludgeon, boil, bomb, bone, burn, bury, butcher, cap, casket, choke, chop, club, crucify, crush, curb, decapitate, decimate, deflesh, demolish, destroy, devein, disembowel, dismember, drown, electrocute, eliminate, end, euthanize, eviscerate, execute, explode, exterminate, extinguish, finish, fry, grind, guillotine, gut, hack, hang, hit, ice, implode, incinerate, kill, liquidate, lynch, massacre, maul, microwave, mutilate, neutralize, obliterate, off, pop, poison, punnish, quarter, ruin, shank, shock, shoot, shred, skin, slay, slaughter, smoke, smother, snipe, snuff, squish, stab, strangle, stone, suffocate, suicide, SWAT, swing, terminate, torture, terrorize, whack, waste, wreck.
