Sky garden

Hi, have you seen the night stars? yes, that's right, the stars have a light that seems to be twinkling, it's a very beautiful natural phenomenon isn't it. I was once on a mountain peak at night, the atmosphere was very dark because there was no light and there was only the light of the stars that felt so close, I was enjoying the sky garden.

but when we are in a city full of light it is impossible for us to see the sky garden, the cause is of course due to light pollution, the light that we produce is reflected back by the layers of the earth and we experience the effect like being in a room with reyben glass partitions, we can't see out of the room but people who are outside the room that has a lower light intensity can certainly see us who are in the room.

What do we see
The stars and celestial bodies that we see today are the same things our ancestors saw thousands of years ago, some of which are even light from stars that have died.

Long distances of light make a difference in time, we know the speed of light is the fastest at this time, however the speed of light becomes longer if there is a distance of billions of miles away, so that when starlight reaches our eyes, even though the light is light thousands of miles away. last year was produced by a star far away from us.

So it is not impossible if in fact we are looking at the light of a star that has died because of the far distance of light.

Then why do we see stars that seem to twinkle?

This is also inseparable from our knowledge of light, we know that light is in the form of regular waves and is sometimes bent by universal gravity, back to our discussion above, the distance of stars that are far from us makes the light produced by stars take longer to we can see and the farther the light is, the longer the wavelength of light is formed, hey we have made a wave game as a child, such as throwing something into a calm pool, what happens? water waves are denser and shorter if it is close to the source of the wave, it gets rarer and longer as it moves away from the source of the waves, as does the light produced by stars.
These wavelengths of light are then received by our eyes and interpreted as twinkling stars.

Facts

The sun is one of the smallest stars in the universe and the closest to the earth, the stars in our universe have a finite life span because each star needs something to burn or needs something to eat and when the food source runs out the star will die the same the case with the sun is expected to run out of fuel in the near future, will we see our sun dying from running out of fuel? no one knows because the age of the stars is certainly different from the age of humans and we can be sure, before that happens, there will be other phenomena that will destroy human civilization.

Greetings from the western tip of the island of Sumatra and stay healthy
