Amazing Nature: Hypholoma And Psathyrella, The Day After The Rain
Even though it's been raining a lot lately, the weather during the day is very hot. The amazing thing happened that a day or two after it rained, you could see mold growing everywhere. They generally occur within a short period of time. They don't last long after being exposed to the scorching sun.
Here are some pictures of mushrooms captured by me in two separate places. These images are my contribution to the #amazingnature contest.
This fungus is found in local forests, in the North Aceh hinterland. It's a bit difficult for me to identify this mushroom because almost the average cap mushroom has a similar shape and physical appearance. Of course, it's easier to identify animals, especially insects, which I often capture as photography subjects.
But I think this is the Hypholoma species, a genus of fungi classified into the family Strophariaceae. It has a tall stem with a soft white cap, and the center of the surface of the cap is light brown.
This was found in my yard. I accidentally saw them when I was about to turn on the water pump. Having a brown cap and a tall stem, there's no mistaking that it's the Psathyrella mushroom. These mushrooms are the most sensitive. With the slightest touch, they are immediately damaged.
