Let the Games Begin!

The World Cup 2026 is now underway with the opening between Mexico and South Africa. I wrote about my failed attempt at storming the Beautiful Dome, which is actually a science centre called Science World that is currently running an exhibition entitled Soccer & Technology, showcasing several pieces from the FIFA museum along with soccer and science related activities. I attended the exhibition and snapped a few shots, including the one in this post.

This photograph shows the Mexican jersey for Luis Chaves during the World Cup in Qatar, 2022. The context is the data-driven analysis behind the games.

They do look great. There's a lot tech and engineering that goes into designing and developing the new jerseys. It's incredible when you see the details.
