Perhaps, given that our society (which venerates the hard choice, discipline, hard work, reason, self-denial, etc.) has 'evolved' to the point that its own technological creation could exterminate it (us), it is time to value the easy choice, laziness, inefficiency, and so on. I do think that choice, or our ability to choose, is fundamental to our humanity (or it could be), but that doesn't necessarily mean that the type of choices we've been making since the Renaissance or Enlightenment or Industrial Revolution are the best to continue making. Perhaps it would be best to work only when absolutely necessary, for example, as many of the Native American tribes did. ... Great blog post though; definitely glad to find this type of content on Hive.

You know what phrase I often think about?

Where there is life, there is hope.

People often make bad choices. I think they always will until this life ends and eternity begins. But bad choices have their place in the world too. In life. Some of my worst choices have been some of my best lessons.

I love that there is redemption.

I'm so glad that you came to visit :) and glad that you enjoyed it!!!
