I have had power failures here that lasted 4 days! We had to cook on our wood stove to be able to eat! However, since the installation of a 6.3 KW solar arrays, we sometimes don't notice a power failure. We are battery banked because of the area we live in. Power outages from October through May are often many. So in my long winded response to your post, I totally understand the peacefulness of losing power and not having all that we are used to. It's almost like it's too quiet, lol! Anyway, thanks for sharing and have a lovely week!

Thaks for stopping by :-) of course living without electricity for a longer time is difficult in the houses we all live, therefore a hous needs other old technologies. Having a power failure here in our town in wintertime for a longer period would cause huge problems.
But this is what I mean, we totaly depend on this system and thats something I dont really like.
