Greetings dear Hive makers, welcome to my post once again, I'm Nitsu and I come to share with you a little work that I think is very interesting to see and analyze.

Some time ago I was encouraged to print with TPU (flexible material) and although it has not been easy to master it, I managed to get very good results, good enough to take work from my classmates in college. An old project that I made is this 3mm thick flex laminate, all this work is in the design, since it is necessary to propose solutions to a problem, it is not necessary to be functional, but to justify each decision taken.

If I remember correctly this piece took about 7 hours of printing, the triangular pattern that is general seems to me very catching, this device was thought to contain the knee against an accident and the name that was placed to this product is XEO.

The configuration I used for this XEO is as follows:

-Layer height of 0.2
-Print speed of 20mm/s
Printing temperature of 227º -Printing temperature of 227º -Retractions of 3mm at 20mm/s
-3mm shrinkage at 20mm/s

These are the configurations that work for me to print flexible with my direct extrusion CR10-V3, this means that this configuration will probably not work for any machine, so I invite you to find out yours by doing printing tests.

TPU is a great material that offers many practical applications, we just have to be attentive to see where we can apply them correctly.

I hope you enjoyed my post and found it useful. Have you tried flexible printing? Do you find it a useful material? I would love to read your opinion in the comments. I'm Nitsu and I wish you success with your prints.

Really cool. I've been thinking of buying some TPU to try out. I want to make some molds to pour epoxy and this might be the solution. I've got a Creality CR10S-Pro so I'd think it would work nearly the same.
