10 kilograms for my projects [ENG- ESP]
Sometimes when we find an opportunity we don't take advantage of it and then regret not taking it when we had the chance. On this occasion I found a great offer that doesn't happen very often.
A veces cuando encontramos una oportunidad no la aprovechamos y luego nos arrepentimos de no haberla tomado cuando tuvimos la posibilidad. En esta ocasión encontré una gran oferta que no sucede muy de seguido.
One of my input suppliers posted that they were selling 1 kilo rolls of PLA for $850 Argentine pesos ($4.25 dollars) when usually the unit costs $1,300 ($6.5 dollars) if you bought 10 kilos in total. At that time it had just been two weeks since my last big investment, the purchase of my new printer that cost me a lot of money, so I was really short of cash, but it was a great opportunity to invest in material and already have it in stock for future work.
Uno de mis proveedores de insumo publicó que estaban vendiendo rollos de PLA de 1 kilo por $850 pesos argentino ($4.25 dólares) cuando generalmente la unidad cuesta $1.300 ($6.5 dólares) si comprabas 10 kilos en total. En ese momento habían pasado recién dos semanas de mi ultima gran inversión, la compra de mi nueva impresora que me costo bastante dinero, así que me encontraba realmente justo de efectivo, pero era una gran oportunidad para invertir en material y ya tener en stock para futuros trabajos.
After thinking about it for a while I decided to buy it because, first I didn't know how long the promotion would last and second there were more people interested and it would probably end quickly. So I bought it.
Luego de pensarlo un poco decidí comprarlo porque, primero no sabia cuanto iba a durar la promoción y segundo había más gente interesada y probablemente se terminaría rápido. Así que lo compre.
In the shopping list I was able to choose the colors, first I checked what colors I had in stock in my workshop so that I wouldn't miss any and then I chose new colors since sometimes my clients ask me for colors that I don't have and I like to have a good variety for any ideas that may come in.
En la lista de compra pude elegir los colores, primero revise que colores me quedaban en stock en mi taller para que no me faltara ninguno y luego elegí colores nuevos ya que a veces mis clientes me piden colores que no tengo y me gusta tener una buena variedad para cualquier idea que pueda llegar.
I bought 2 kilos of black PLA since it is a color I use a lot and 1 kilo of military green, red and white colors that I needed to replace because I was running out of them. The other 5 kilos were used to choose new shades such as light blue, cyan, light pink, silver and fuchsia.
Compre 2 kilos de PLA negro ya que es un color que utilizo muchísimo y 1 kilo de verde militar, rojo, y blanco colores que necesitaba reponer porque se me estaban acabando. Los otros 5 kilos aprovechen para elegir nuevas tonalidades como celeste, cian, rosa claro, plateado y fucsia.

A few days passed and my order arrived, to my luck a few days later they took out the offer and increased the price, so I made a great decision. With this purchase I spent a total of $8,457 Argentine pesos and with the normal price I would have spent approximately $13,000, this means that I saved $4500, the equivalent of 22.5 dollars. I could not be more satisfied with the deal I made, now I have a lot of material to continue casting for a long time, although I will probably have to replace the black and white filament from time to time because I use them a lot for my projects.
Pasaron unos días y mi pedido llego, para mi suerte unos días después sacaron la oferta y aumentaron el precio, así que tome una gran decisión. Con esta compra gaste un total de $8.457 pesos argentinos y con el precio normal me hubiera salido aproximadamente $13.000 esto quiere decir que me ahorre $4500 el equivalente a 22.5 dólares. No podría estar más conforme con el negocio que hice, ahora tengo mucho material para seguir fundiendo por un largo tiempo, aunque seguramente de vez en cuando tenga que volver a reponer el filamento blanco y negro porque los utilizo mucho para mis proyectos.

Muchas gracias por tu comentario @thecuriousfool estaba medio justo con el dinero pero pude lograrlo además que hace menos de una semana había comprado otra impresora jajaja así que me quede sin dinero.

I think that was a great investment. I'm always looking for bargains on PLA and am even willing to gamble some with filament I have never tried. Sometimes gems are found this way.
PS. My girlfriend watched resin printers on youtube, so guess what she wants me to get now?.. 😂
JAJAJAJA ¿Y esta en tus planes comprar una impresora de resina? A mi me gustaría pero más adelante lo único que no me gusta es tener que tener tanto cuidado con la resina, el curado y el tratamiento de la resina que descartas, además los gases que emana pero hay que admitir que las piezas que podes hacer son preciosas. Calculo que los 10 kilos me van a durar unos 6 meses, es que si me alegra haberlo comprado porque la oferta duro creo que 3 días. Gracias por pasarte a leer @sol
