Ecotrain QOTW# 9.4 .- Living with technology./ Viviendo con la Tecnologia.

For a long time we have seen movies where people are being displaced by robots and by things created by technology and recently it has become possible for us to verify that this reality is not very far away.

Such is the case of what we are going through with Covid 19 and the great changes it has made in our lives. Before we thought that we were indispensable in a face-to-face job and now we realize that we can do it remotely from the comfort of our home.

We are still needed to do certain tasks like directing a truck full of merchandise to supply a supermarket. That is easy to change since now the cars can be guided by a machine that gives them the order and through GPS they can reach the most remote location and do the job.

We are full of technology and every day we adapt more to it and we are constantly growing since the need has forced us to have to use it. To avoid the contagion of these diseases and those that will come, in order to protect the only element created by spirituality and that cannot be eliminated in its entirety by all the complex systems unknown to science that inhabit it: Man.

But can spirituality and technology live together?

In fact, we are already living with technology. But there is a lot of difference in an artificial life and a life like the one we know and are used to. And the difference is made by spirituality or what we know as feelings.

We have all these modern additives managed through the internet, but we need people to make new friends, children need their classmates to be able to develop or mold their character and differentiate love, companionship, friendship, sharing, etc.

So the answer could be yes, spirituality can live alongside technology and has even made our lives easier. The typewriter that we used until the beginning of the 20th century is one of the examples of this coexistence.

Anyone who had the opportunity to use one of those typewriters can remember how cumbersome it was to type on it. Having to pull the carriage to the left for it to start writing the next line was tiresome. The ribbon with the ink had to be changed every so often.

Computers replaced all that inconvenience and gave us the peace of mind of working faster and more securely. And we can send it directly to the interested person by e-mail.

You just have to not stop having human contact so that spirituality is not lost since we would become robots. And for that I hope that many years are missing.

Desde hace mucho tiempo se ven peliculas donde la gente esta siendo desplazada por robots y por cosas creadas por tecnologia y recientemente se nos ha hecho posible constatar que esa realidad no esta muy lejos.

Tal es el caso de lo que estamos pasando con el Covid 19 y los grandes cambios que ha hecho en nuestras vidas. Antes pensabamos que eramos indispensables en un trabajo de manera presencial y ahora nos damos cuenta que podemos hacerlo remotamente desde la comodidad de nuestro hogar.

Todavia somos necesarios para hacer ciertas labores como dirigir un camion lleno de mercancia para abastecer un supermercado. Eso es facil de cambiar ya que ahora los autos pueden ser guiados por una maquina que le da la orden y mediante el gps pueden llegar hasta la ubicacion mas remota y hacer el trabajo.

Estamos llenos de tecnologia y cada dia nos adaptamos mas a ella y vamos en constante crecimiento ya que la necesidad nos ha obligado a tener que usarla. Para evitar el contagio de estas enfermedades y las que vendran, para asi poder proteger el unico elemento creado por la espiritualidad y que no puede ser eliminado en su totalidad por todos los sistemas complejos y desconocidos para la ciencia que en el habita: El Hombre.

Pero, Pueden la espiritualidad y la tecnologia vivir juntas ?

De hecho, ya estamos conviviendo con la tecnologia. Pero hay mucha diferencia en una vida artificial y una vida como la que conocemos y estamos acostumbrados. Y la diferencia la hace la espiritualidad o lo que conocemos como sentimientos.

Tenemos todos estos aditivos modernos manejados mediante el internet, pero necesitamos de las personas para hacer nuevas amistades, los niños necesitan de sus compañeros de clases para poder desarrollar o moldear su caracter y diferenciar entre sus emosiones el amor, compañerismo, amistad, compartir, etc.

Asi que la respuesta podria ser si, la espiritualidad puede vivir junto a la tecnologia y hasta nos ha hecho la vida mas facil. La maquina de escribir que usabamos hasta los comienzos del siglo 20 es uno de los ejemplos de esa convivencia.

Todo el que tuvo la oportunidad de poder usar una de esas maquinas de escribir puede recordar lo engorroso que era escribir en ella. Tener que tirar el carro hacia la izquierda para que comezara a escribir la proxima linea era pesado. La cinta con la tinta habia que cambiarla cada cierto tiempo.

Las computadoras reemplazaron toda esa incomodidad y nos dieron la tranquilidad de trabajar de una forma mas rapida y segura. Y directamente podemos enviarla a la persona interesada mediante el e-mail.

Solo no debemos dejar de tener el contacto humano para que no se pierda la espiritualidad ya que nos volveriamos unos robots. Y para eso espero que falte muchos años.
