Sadly, this "habits" have proven very disastrous. Like when a youth would get up in the morning, not thank their creator for life and go ahead to grab their phones because... Well ...
But whatever has an advantage always seems to come with lots of disadvantages.

I think even I am guilty of that but oh well, trying to be better, I guess it's one of the disadvantages of being reliant on technology.
