Sabine Hossenfelder has a PhD in physics and is presently a Research Fellow at the Frankfurt Institute for Advanced Studies. She is a sort of Physics Cassandra, ominously warning in her book "Lost in Math" (Basic Books, 2018) that the pursuit of 'beauty' and naturalness is leading physics astray. But what exactly does this mean for experimental physicists such as myself?
