I would imagine they may have interacted with members of the "larger society" - but without even so much as a common language to communicate in, how far do you imagine such interactions went?
Perhaps with gestures like in the movie The Gods Must Be Crazy.
Never seen this one. I should put it on my "to watch" list, perhaps.
Of course, people always find some ways to communicate, if this guy was not as determined and as stubborn as he was he would not have been able to survive on his own for so long.
How come, it is an old movie.
Not sure.
