This information is partially correct. Ukraine extracts 2/3 of its natural gas from its territory, but the remaining 1/3 is from Romania, Hungary and Poland. So yes, Ukraine buys Russian gas.
And even now Ukraine and Russia are not officially at war with each other!
Russia will continue to fully fulfill its obligations to transport gas to the EU. And Ukraine continues to receive its percentage from the transportation of Russian gas on Ukrainian pipeline ...
