How can we enhance self-knowledge?

It is very normal that when another person asks us questions about ourselves, it makes us quite uncomfortable, since it is a very difficult situation to talk about ourselves. In this case we should not think that the reason is because of shyness or something else, but perhaps we think that describing ourselves can become very presumptuous, there is no one better to make a judgment of us than another person.

There are arguments to describe ourselves that put us in a very comfortable situation such as naming our profession, nationality, ideology, politics, religion, tastes, social ties, among others.

However, perhaps we should not assume these names as something positive, since they can come to function as the labels that are on the products that are in supermarkets, and although these labels can be useful to identify us, they do not give us a personality based on a true psychological development.

A description according to our personality must go beyond a simple label like naming our profession, to give a description according to a humanistic personality we must first know ourselves well, in fact when we know well who we are and where we come from we help ourselves to place ourselves in a situation of personal reflection where we reach the conclusion that we can reach a high level of self-knowledge.

Logically, there are many reasons why it is important to know ourselves. However, it is propitious that we inquire about some habits that can help us to promote personal self-knowledge that will help us to strengthen our own personality.

In conclusion, I think that within these habits we must forge a personality that does not depend on pre-established habits, but on generating and adapting the habits that we believe are relevant to develop a sustainable self-knowledge in our lives.

there is no one better to make a judgment of us than another person.

And even this is not true in many cases.

As Buster Scruggs said: "Sir, it seems that you are no better a judge of human beings than you are a specimen of one".

By the way, humans should not judge each other.
Only God should judge us. God is the best judge.

So the sentence above should be "there is no one better to make a judgment of us than God".

Every point of view is respected, that is why I respect what you share as well, only God is the only one in charge of judging. Greetings and thanks for commenting.
