All about theory of machines part 1

Hello everyone i hope you all are fine and safe from the coronavirus outbreak and are making the best use of your time in these days. I welcome the step of @educationhive for restoration and focusing on the education channel once again. Hope this project will rise to the starts and every one will get benefit from this project. Today i see the posts of educationhive in which he stated that they once again start focusing on posts on education. So i decided to give information about one of the important subject of mechanical engineering Theory of machines. In which i will give you information about the basic elements of machines like gears, link , etc. So today i will give you information about some basic concepts of theory of machines. Lets start,

Firstly i am going to tell you what is kinematic link . Kinematic link is defined as each part of machines which have relative motion with the other part of machine. That means when the one part of machines rotates it will rotate the other part and will transmit the power from one machine part to the another part . If you consider the engine of the car there and many link such as piston which is moving up and down and gives the relative motion to the connecting rod which is other link after that the connecting rod transmits the power to the crankshaft . There are many types of links among the all i will tell you about the three links which are rigid link , rigid is that type of link which does not deform during the motion transfer that means it's shape doesn't change during the relative motion. Another is flexible link it gets deformed but didn't cause any effect to the relative motion tranfer the best example of this type are belts. After that the another type of link is fluid link in which motion gets transferred through any liquid just like in brakes when we apply the brake it transferred the motion to the wheels through the liquid and stops it. This was all about the kinematic link.

Now i will tell you about the kinematic pair . So what is kinematic pair when we join the two links with each other it form the kinematic pair but the condition for the kinematic pair is that if they trasfer the motion which are successfully constrained.
