Game Development for Kids with Godot Engine - Change Scene Background

avatar

In previous post, we learned about how to create a new project using the Godot Engine. Where we basically created the project from scratch and then we started adding the elements into the game.

Now what we are going to do is basically get the game scene to change it's color. So for that we are going to add the custom background to the same. This is another simple tutorial after which you would be pretty much confident about the game development under the godot engine.

Currently this is 2nd tutorial of our series so our table content would be pretty much small. And I have to add the elements into the table once it gets big enough. For now below table you can check out.

  1. Godot Engine - Create New Project

Now let's take a look at our tutorial video. Below video should tell you how to change the background scene in the godot engine. I assume you have downloaded godot engine and created a demo project if not yet already. Make sure to follow above table of content to go through that part.

As you can see from the tutorial video changing the background of the godot engine is not that hard. I am sure in near future you would be able to manage the process flow pretty easily. I hope this process from my video helps you.

If you want to try out the similar game development tutorials using the gdevelop, you can follow this tutorial trail of GDevelop Tutorials. I will be making a new post in near future covering the table of content so that it becomes easier to access for both game engines.

I hope the current tutorial was useful to you.

We will continue the further game development topic in next post.
