Game Development for Kids with Godot Engine - Draw Rectangle using GDScript

avatar

In this post, we will take a look at How to Draw Rectangle using GDScript in Godot Engine.

In previous post of the series, I posted about the draw 2D Line using the GDScript. Previously I have managed to post about the screen size, clear screen and few other gdscript. I am sure you would find some of the previous tutorials interesting for the gdscript code. So today we see how to draw rectangle using the GDscript.

By now I am sure you have now learned about how to make use of the godot engine by downloading the executable. You just have to run the executable and then create project to follow the rest of the tutorials in the series. I may cover C# version of the godot engine in near future too.

In the below list of the table of contents, there are already 16 tutorials that I have covered and also you can go through them if you want. If this post is your first post in the tutorial series, I'd say that you should check out the table of contents for further set of the tutorials.

Table of Contents of Godot Engine Tutorials

The above tutorial covers how to draw the rectangle using GDScript. I have found out there are few other similar designs using the C# in next few weeks. I hope that you guys who want to learn more about godot engine with the C sharp scripting would find this useful.

I also wanted to check out if the people here would want to see me posting the Unity development. I have not done much of the videos on Unity which I should be doing this year and the next but hopefully I get to cover most of the content.

If you want to try out the similar game development tutorials using the gdevelop, you can follow this tutorial trail of GDevelop Tutorials.

I hope the current tutorial was useful to you.

We will continue the further game development topic in next post.
