A superb film that exposes us to a fabulous ancient mystery - I highly recommend.

Ok friends, today in this post i want to present you a small review of a film that mostly touches on a rather important historical topic of human evolution. Yep, in the begining just from out of my personal curiosity - what would be your opinions about on world history!!? or better said - in general, how do you consider history it!!?- hard, captivating, easy or interesting? Ok, this will remain optional - no one should feel obligated to provide a specific answer ....however, i'd love to read your own opinions in the comments section - Thank you all.

Well, i'm aware of the fact that, in general history is not to everyone's liking, possibly tiring and boring for some certain people - however, history it is awesome tool, because it can develop your general culture and, more than that - it can help you understand how people have evolved, what managed to unite them and set them in motion over time or what they were fighting for, what they were willing to do in the name of some beliefs or an ideas. This is what history does - it exposes and presents facts and events to us so as not to repeat the same mistakes that those human beings of antiquity made. That's it, it's super interesting that humanity has evolved considerably compared to those ancient times when wars, crimes and violence were at the order of the day and yet there are still categories of human beings who continue to repeat the same mistakes. Yep, so history has a special role in our lives - the role of educating us towards for that evolution that we all want.

Ok, let's try to move on and this just to not try to bore each other - ok, if i managed to do that, i apologize profusely. Finally, i can say that i love science-fiction cinematographic creations enormously, the action ones with a little humor (not too much but not too little), but not least the historical ones. So films with historical subjects remain some of my top favorites - especially those that expose fantastical stories of the ancient world. Yep, ancient history is my favorite and cinematic creations that contain such themes attract my full attention. I suspect that there is no human being present in this huge digital space who has not heard of the films with the titles Remus and Romulus, Gladiator, 10.000 BC., Masada, Attila, Quo Vadis, Centurion or maybe Spartacus - yep, that wonderful television series published under the Starz Media brand. Spartacus - a powerful human being of the ancient world. For those who have not yet watched the series - I believe it is worth the time.

Ok, a few days ago i was looking for information about one of the wonders of the world, namely the famous legendary Library of Alexandria - yep, in this way with a simple search on Google i discovered a superb movie that was published a few years ago ... after that - surprises, surprises, i've discovered something captivating. So, the movie was published in 2009 under the title Agora - a film that touches one historical subject that i consider to be captivating. In general, even if during the narrative thread of the movie, i don't really meet many scenes that increase some tension to the maximum, having a fairly moderate pace - from my point of view it can be considered a superb production that presents a story quite unknown to many of us and for that matter and what information the world would have lost through that thoughtless fact that we meet in the film. Yep, so i really liked this legendary story, which i think was presented in the most pleasant way. I recommend it to everyone, because it is not a film worth missing in this wonderful life. Ok, just take a look at the trailer of this movie and that's just to give you a little idea of what to expect.

A small summary of this film production

In general, the film tells the story of a female astronomer named Hypatia (a role played by the actress Rachel Weisz), imprisoned within the walls of the library in Alexandria, and of her fight to save the wisdom of the old world from the destructive wave of new beliefs, including Christianity itself , which haunts the streets of Alexandria.

At the same time, the love story of a slave, played by Max Minghella, for his mistress, Hypatia, is slipped into the film. The perspective of his love for his mistress takes shape against the background of the birth of Christianity, which gives the film a disturbing stake.

Hypatia taught her disciples Neoplatonic philosophy. From here to accusing her of being a witch is just one step away. Which seems to bring him the end.

Ok when it comes to the Library of Alexandria, probably the most important wonder in human history, the story gets quite complicated. The film, Agora is, from my point of view, a very well made film that manages to expose the eternal battle between science and religion. Yep, those endless battles. The bloodiest conflicts were those started in the name of religion, and this film easily demonstrates this.

A superb film that exposes us to a fabulous ancient mystery - I highly recommend. Thank you for your time.
