Feminism and emancipatory environmental spirituality
Greetings dear readers and friends of @NaturalMedicine, in this new thematic issue I wanted to share with you some considerations of the creative and spiritual bond that has always existed between women and the environment, as opposed to the remarkable environmental crisis resulting from the models of economic, social, scientific, technological development and education of values of masculine/patriarchal orientation.

Feminism, as a social doctrine, has demanded the recognition of women with equal rights in the same proportion as those that are exclusively attributed to men, among these, the two main elements that have historically been attributed to men are: procreation and food production to satisfy the needs of the human species.
Now, as far as procreation is concerned, beyond the influence of feminism in this aspect, from the biological point of view the fertility of women in the process of reproduction of the human species has been weighed, an element that tends to balance the physiological role of both, thus negating the exclusively male appropriation.

With regard to food production to satisfy the needs of the human species, it has been recognized that it is an activity carried out by man of a patriarchal nature and with an economic focus, which has led to the development and technical production of agriculture, with the aggravating deterioration of the environment, by favoring the modification of natural processes, degrading the soil, contaminating water bodies, threatening the flora and fauna, and most seriously, generating poverty specifically for women, depriving them of fair and equitable development as human beings.

In contrast to all these negative elements promoted by men, feminism as an emancipatory current, seeks to multiply the strong link between women and the environment, sponsoring the values of harmony, sustainability and diversity, aspects related to the care and respect for life, whose natural wealth translates into environmental conservation in search of dynamic balances that ensure sustainability of all living beings.

To close, I believe that a reflexive element that we should always consider is that, if nature is a woman, then it needs to be treated with love, delicacy, and tact. Only in this way will we be able to guarantee to live in harmony with each one of its wonderful spaces.

Difiero profundamente de tu posición. Para mí el feminismo lo han edulcorado, lo han adornado y lo han magnificado, cuando no es más que un movimiento creado para promover cosas que a mi criterio van en contra de lo que es esencial para la sociedad: La familia. Sé bien que antes la posición patriarcal estaba muy marcada en las sociedades del mundo, (salvo algunas nativas que eran matricentrales), pero el feminismo ayer y hoy a mí, personalmente, y esto no quiere decir que yo tenga la razón absoluta, pues no es así, me parece que se hizo para que la mujer se desprendiera de su naturaleza de madre, de cuidadora, de protectora y buscara una emancipación ilusoria y falsa. Quizás mis divergencias van es por el uso del término feminismo, que lo han tomado y abanderado diversos grupos y colectivos hasta el cansancio para apoyar prácticas y tendencias inconcebibles como el aborto o la ideología de género; pero es que considero que mujer y hombre son simplemente seres humanos, sólo que hay roles y funciones que obviamente son distintas; por ejemplo, por lo general el hombre es proveedor, pero no tiene que ser absolutamente así, pues también puede ser cuidador y la mujer proveedora. Por otra parte, es innegable que desde el punto de vista biológico, la maternidad es algo inherente exclusivamente a la mujer (gestación y alumbramiento, lactancia), aunque el padre también es indispensable en la crianza de los hijos, así pues que la protección del medio ambiente, la conexión con Madre Tierra no son exclusivamente femeninas, para nada. De todos modos, buen post y bellas fotos e ilustraciones. Muchas bendiciones.
Gracias por leer, y dejar bien detallada tu postura elemento que debe ser respetado, pues eso permite relacionar los puntos de vistas, en tus observaciones confirmo que existe un delgada línea de separación que diferencia las apreciaciones, y tal vez la diferencia se da por la interpretación errónea de la palabra feminismo, aun cuando no se trata de un tema exclusivamente de género, pues todos tenemos cualidades emocionales espirituales para amar y proteger, no fuimos creados iguales ni desde lo biológico como tampoco en roles, y esto ha marcado una concepción descontextualizada en el cuidado de nuestra madre natura, y esto sin duda, forma parte del caos ambiental que reina a escala global.
