I am not a rich person. So, it is not possible for me to purchase an iPhone. People who are also like me financially, are buying this expensive phone from their savings and even taking loan for it. Is iphone so necessary, nice and worth value for money that one may take loan for purchasing it?

                    I would classify a smartphone as an item for the middle class.

                    In the US, one often receives a phone as part of a service contract. A service plan is eseentially a loan.

                    The question people should ask before buying a smartphone is if the phone will return the cost of the phone over its lifetime.

                    I went with a prepaid plan instead of a contract. I got a refurbished Pixel 2 for $100. My service plan is $12/month.

                    I use the pictures on my HIVE posts. The HIVE posts offset the cost of the phone.

                    I contemplated spending $1,000 on an iPhone. The additional quality of the pictures is not worth it to me.
