It is to my understanding that when one commits a crime, he who hides the criminal or aids the criminal in the crime is just as guilty as committing the crime themselves. So those that support @curie and @curie its self are just as guilty here. We know that scammers are detrimental to this network. Especially to new people coming in. I wonder if it is just being ignored by the majority on purpose or the news just hasn't gotten to them yet. But apparently @hivewatchers has the evidence for their misdeeds. So to the slimeball scammers and those that support them, your time will come for sure. My question for you is, what will you do about this issue dear witness sir?

I am not part of Hive Watchers, and I have spent the majority of my time on Steem/Hive identifying and stopping abuse but I recently step down to leave it to those who care to do it.

While I agree those who cover up and hide criminals are guilty as well (to some extent), it is up to the community to step in if someone is voting in a way that harms the platform, yet very few do. In terms of curation sniping, there is very little you can do as flagging their votes just flags an innocent third party and the majority of stake holders here are just curation sniping. Many doing it with as little vote as they can to get maximum rewards rather than sincerely supporting people.

To answer your question, there really isn't much that can be done. The majority of stake is not voting based on quality.

The next hard fork will include a mechanism to reduce the effectiveness of curation sniping to some extent™.

"there really isn't much that can be done."

It could be brought more into attention by your hands just as the news about Suns invasion to steemit. The support of these scammers gives the scammers more attention from unsuspecting visitors and well you know the rest. They get caught on the web like flies. I see it as a matter of choice really. I don't see how getting maximum rewards from these scammer posts are even worth it.

Thank you for your reply.

Curie is a old and well know account/community. At one point it was more organized and benevolent. From what I have heard (and I haven't done a lot of research myself as I stepped away from abuse fighting for various reasons) it has lost its way.

What "scammer" posts do you refer to? All I saw in the screenshot was complaining about Curie's voting.

@hivewatchers
Present it.
Oh Ancient Owls of Wisdom.
Will one more bothersome soul suit you one more goal?
What watches over our toddled liberty?
Who keeps the divine from the people?
Who shall save us all from this missed misery?

Come to Curie discord with evidence, tag me or dm me. We will get it fixed if there is an abuse.

yayogerardo was moved to "timeout" channel a few days ago after few warnings to stop engaging in appeals in our name without our permission, and for general trolling and arguing with various hiveians. He is also walden's buddy.

Hivewatchers-helper has no clue about Curie. Others at hivewatchers could easily contact Curie people if they want to. They know who to talk. It’s always easy to point fingers rather than have something of substance to say. If you see any abuse report to Curie on discord with evidence.
