SHOWING UP BECAUSE I WANT TO, NOT BECAUSE I AM EXPECTED TO

It gives me the absolute joy to be there for my close friends and loved ones. I’m always happy to be there for them when they need me. Not always making excuses, but showing up, sometimes I leave what I am engaged with just to see that I attend to them, measuring the value of what I was doing against what they need me for. Because of my availability to my friends and family, I’m most reliable. If they need things done that are so important, and they need someone to help, they call on me. If they need to talk to someone in the middle of the night, I’m always available. If they need someone to listen to them talk for hours, while they release their emotions, I’m the guy they call. It is the least I can do.

When it comes to relationships, I’m the kind of guy who appreciates the ability of my partner to be available to me as often as possible. It gives me confidence in what we have together and removes the atom of doubt in the relationship. Being available to me means that more trust and loyalty will exist between us. Some will say that the more available you are to people, the less value those people have for you, but to me, I believe that it is only right to always show up when you are needed, be there for people you love, as we never can tell how long we have with them.

But truth be told, people tend to take for granted the ones who are always available to them, just like air people breathe, they don’t recognise the importance sometimes until they are gasping for air, not until they are no longer available and there for them, they don’t see and appreciate their importance or value the time of the ones who are always available to them. When I understand the energy I get from people like this, I keep my energy for people who will value my presence and effort. I show up for the ones who show up for me and make myself available to the ones who make themselves available to me. The energy I get is the energy I give; it is a give and take. Sometimes, all I need from the other person is a little effort.

My name is @rishagamo, and above is my submission for the Sci-Fi Multiverse prompt Week 54 Edition 2 “THE HIDDEN COST OF ALWAYS BEING AVAILABLE”.

Woah, your ability to be available for your friends when they need you is a great sacrifice. And you are correct, sometimes, it is misunderstood to say the least when someone is always available for his friends and never gets the same energy in return. Such is life as well. Thanks for sharing. !HBIT

I see that you have mined HBIT today (UTC), but without tagging @savvytester. 🤯 I would inform @savvytester right away that you already mined HBIT today, so that they won't need to look through your comments feed and try to find the HBIT command. 🤗 !HOPE !INDEED !WEIRD !PIZZA !ALIVE

Oh, I forgot. Internet wasn't stable then, it took a while to keep refreshing before it went through.
Thank you for the observation.
I will correct it.

I suggest that you simply correct typos without informing me or @savvytester (whoever pointed out the typo !INDEED), unless the error is something big (such as those involving the sending of Hive tokens). 🧘‍♂️😏 !HOPE !WEIRD !PIZZA !ALIVE

Okay, it is also noted to improve on.
Change is the most constant thing.

If you (or any other Hive user) informs me that you have corrected every typo error that I pointed out, then I would get a lot of notifications about typo errors corrected everyday indeed! 🤯😅 !BEER

Humm, woah, incredible 😍 👏
No issues. I will stop it then.
So it doesn't continue that way. 🤔

It's okay though if you occasionally want to point out some typo mistakes that you corrected (like once or twice a week) !INDEED. 🤗 I just didn't want to be informed for every correction. 😆 !LOLZ

Thats fine by me. I am here to learn and unlearn. I wish to diligently follow guidance and tutoring while growing in that process.

cagolistic, you mined 0.9 🟧 HBIT and the user you replied to (rishagamo) received 0.1 HBIT on your behalf as a tip. When you mine HBIT, you're also playing the Wusang: Isle of Blaq game. 🏴‍☠️

Sorry, but you didn't find a bonus treasure token today. Try again tomorrow...they're out there! Your random number was 0.6561921638857879, also viewable in the Discord server, #hbit-wusang-log channel. | tools | wallet | discord | community | daily <><

Check for bonus treasure tokens by entering your username at a block explorer A, explorer B, or take a look at your wallet.
There is a treasure chest of bitcoin sats hidden in Wusang: Isle of Blaq. Happy treasure hunting! 😃 Read about Hivebits (HBIT) or read the story of Wusang: Isle of Blaq.

Yeah. You are right though. But I also make sense from what others say that when you are too close to a friend you may lose your respect. It all depends.

Hmm, I used to be the available guy until I realized that people don't value what is available so, I stayed away until I am sought for..

I like the idea of giving back the kind of energy you get, if you do too much, you will regret it

This is so true...
People don't always value, respect and appreciate what they get until that thing is no longer available, then they began seeing it's importance and feel the vacuum.

Thanks for sharing.
