The emotional dollar

‎Hello everyone,

‎If there were to be a world where emotions are the currencies instead of dollar, or other monetary currencies, such a world will be beautiful to live in, but yet dangerous.

‎In a world where a single burst of laughter can get you groceries, and pay your bills.... I think I'd want to laugh all day, so every bill will be sorted.
‎But just as the current world where money is the currency is in chaos, such a world will also fall into chaos.

‎For example, if laughter and joy were to be the world's gold, it'd be hard for some people to have access to it.
‎There will still be people who are poor in laughter. They'd be full of bitterness, sadness and pain, and as a result of these, they won't be able to take care of their needs.

‎Also, just as money has banks for saving, if there were to be a bank for saving emotions, it simply means that at some point, the amount of happiness you'd need to make a purchase might be impossible to get, if there's a glitch in the emotional Bank network.
‎And, it's possible that just as we have bank robberies for money, emotions too will be robbed.

‎And for abuse of power? That is highly possible.
‎People might be bullied to give up their laughter. And just as we pay taxes now, there might be some certain level of paying taxes with laughter.

‎In conclusion, I don't think that a world where emotions is used as a currency, will be any better than a world where money is used as a currency.
‎War will continue. Armed robbery to steal people's joy will continue, and paying ransom with laughter will still continue.
‎Also, when making purchases, there might be an exact amount of joy to get you want you desire. And just like we go broke in money, we might still go broke in happiness.
‎There will really be no difference.

That world where small laughter pays the bills will be an interesting one no doubt.

Hmmmm this is a whole different perspective. Initially I was overly happy when I saw the part where you mentioned using laughter to accumulate gold and then I thought, I'll have the highest Gold of wealth and riches but then I got to the other paragraphs and it was indeed deep.

If emotions were to be currency then there might be times we would be broke in being happy
