The New World Of Digital Libraries And The Advantages
THE LAST LIBRARY Can you imagine a time when there's the last library in the world? What difficulties did the last librarian face? Do you still prefer to go to library to read a book? Or do you use your mobile or computer for reading books? How this change affect us?
Hello #scifimultiverse and amazing Hivians, I welcome you to my blog.
A library could be defined as a place where information and findings can be obtained to further knowledge on subject matters.
The last time I went to a library was during my final year at the university when I was writing my project. I have the school library card, which serves as a pass to the library. The library was filled with books, both academic and fiction, magazines and newspapers, and digital materials. I also visit with my study mates. It was very helpful and valuable for the project write-up.
However, since then, I have not visited a physical library again. During my MBA studies, I used digital libraries, such as Google Scholar. The university also provided an app called Module, through which we accessed digital libraries like ProQuest and EBSCOhost, among others, to source materials for our thesis, quizzes, and assignments.
Therefore, imagining the last library standing in the world is like imagining education turned around. Where access to information can be obtained within a twinkle of an eye. These days, information is becoming enabling, hence gaining access to a digital library is a game-changer. The advantages are massive, such as timely access and the opportunity to compare and validate information.
Again, gaining access to multiple sites and materials and navigating information seamlessly is a plus. Moreover, a physical library could be destroyed in the blink of an eye by a firestorm, rainstorm, or even theft by readers who might borrow and never return the books or even pilfer the library.
Therefore, I won’t be surprised or annoyed by such a change. Change is the only constant thing. I am open to such a change, though I have been a fan of the flexibility, innovation, and change.
By this change, the librarian will nt be faced with the task of recovering books from readers who have failed in keeping their timelines.

EngaSunriseforeverging in endless activity of cleaning and mopping the stationery containing the books and the endless tags on the books, both the archive, new ones, fictions, thesis, and others.
In fact, it would be a kind of new world for the librarian.

Thankfully, there's the digital library in case of the failure or lack of a physical one. I can tell how much access to ebooks has helped.
Exactly 💯, you are correct 👏
These ebooks are just the way to go. It was actually helpful during my thesis writing ✍️.
Rather than carrying books everywhere I go, I just needed to sign in and download the materials I needed.

I also went to a library last while I was still in school. We have everything online where we can find all the information. in as much as the e-library is taking over, we still have people that still prefer reading a printed book and will always need the physical library.
I agree wirh you. These are the dynamics of life. It makea us different in our own way.
Change is indeed constant, everyday brings one change or the other.
Exactly, and that is what matters. Where there is flexibility change and innovation thrives
Those are very possible situations you've highlighted there, anything can happen. And like you said, change is constant.
