Parenting: I Lost My Super Powers Status

avatar

If medical sciences has a face behind it, my super powers would have definitely manifested. Granted, I'm neither spider Man, batman, Captain America, nor Superman but when it comes to defending my 6weeks old baby, I'm sure not even a combined team of the aforementioned 'superheroes' can stand my wrath.

However, today I felt as though my super powers were non existent as I watch and listen to my baby's voice going high into the neighborhood. It wasn't a shout of hallelujah but of pains, serious pains resulting from the vaccination he received.

By vaccination I don't mean some drops on his tongue but not just one but three injections administered on his young laps. They called it Penta 1 or whatever that means. 😏

As he cries due to the pains of the injection and the reactions, my heart feels broken that I can't even carry him nor stop his pains. All I did was to apply a certain 'Reparil' gel on the area to avoid abscess developing.

While observing these, I felt betrayed by medical scientists for not developing a mild injection that will eventually be more effective with less pains for babies.

Have you experienced anything like what I feel now? Please share your experiences and thoughts.

That sounds horrible, what about adding a cold compress, that should numb the pain.

There's this reparil gel that has been of help. I played a while with him today.

Thanks so much for your supports and encouragements
