Finalmente he vuelto y tengo fibra óptica de Fibex - 3 meses sin internet |ESP|ENG|

Hey amigos como están?, estuve un largo tiempo fuera del blog debido a una falla en el internet de toda la zona donde vivo, esta falla se presenta en 1-2km a la redonda en el lugar donde vivo y nadie sabe a que se debe.
Creo que fui uno de los primeros en no tener conexión y luego se sumaron otros vecinos, hicimos el reclamo a la empresa responsable (cantv), pero aspiramos que atendida en los próximos 6 meses, por que literalmente el servicio es pésimo y la atención al cliente igual.

Hey friends how are you, I was a long time out of the blog due to a failure in the internet in the whole area where I live, this failure occurs in 1-2km around the place where I live and no one knows what it is due.
I think I was one of the first to have no connection and then other neighbors joined, we made the claim to the company responsible (cantv), but we hope that attended in the next 6 months, because literally the service is lousy and customer service the same.

Así que decidí contratar otro servicio esta vez de fibra óptica y por la recomendación de un amigo hice el contrato con Fibex Telecom.
El plan es muy accesible teniendo en cuenta que es fibra y la velocidad de bajada es simétrica, además de ser ilimitado.

So I decided to contract another fiber optic service this time and on the recommendation of a friend I made the contract with Fibex Telecom.
The plan is very affordable considering that it is fiber and the download speed is symmetrical, besides being unlimited.

El plan es de 50 megabit, o sea aproximadamente 5 megabytes simétricos lo cual es super rápido, y pago por ello 25$ mensuales, aunque hay un mejor plan por 40$ de 300 megabit. Además de eso tuve que pagar el excedente de cable, ya que el contrato solo cubría 70 metros, y el cajetín mas cercano se encontraba a 198mt, así que tuve que pagar un excedente de 60$.
A pesar de todo eso, el internet va muy rápido y la verdad no tengo quejas, se ha mantenido incluso por encima de la velocidad que me ofrecen y puedo descargar archivos muy pesados en pocos minutos. Solo los días domingo o feriados se ve que la velocidad es lenta, pero asumo es por la cantidad de usuarios conectado al mismo tiempo, solo pasa los domingos a cierta hora, del resto la velocidad vuelve a la normalidad.

The plan is 50 megabit, or about 5 megabytes symmetrical which is super fast, and I pay for it 25$ per month, although there is a better plan for 40$ for 300 megabit. On top of that I had to pay for the cable overage, as the contract only covered 70 meters, and the closest box was 198 meters away, so I had to pay an overage of $60.
In spite of all that, the internet is very fast and I have no complaints, it has been even above the speed they offer me and I can download very large files in a few minutes. Only on Sundays or holidays the speed is slow, but I assume it is due to the amount of users connected at the same time, it only happens on Sundays at a certain time, otherwise the speed is back to normal.

El modem-router es de una sola banda, tiene un alcance de 15mt al aire libre y cuenta con dos antenas de señal, aunque mi casa es pequeña, las paredes solidas no dejan que llegue a ciertos lugares, pero esta colocado en la sala para mayor facilidad.
La instalación también venia incluida y los técnicos fueron muy amables y me explicaron algunas cosas sobre la empresa, por ejemplo para el servicio de 300 megabit es mejor tener un router de doble banda.

The modem-router is single band, has a range of 15mt outdoors and has two signal antennas, although my house is small, the solid walls do not let it reach certain places, but it is placed in the living room for ease.
The installation was also included and the technicians were very kind and explained some things about the company, for example for the 300 megabit service it is better to have a dual band router.

Aquí vamos con lo mas interesante, esta era la velocidad de mi internet mucho antes que fallara. Y la velocidad actual, obviamente el cambio es significativo y estoy feliz por poder tener este servicio.

Here we go with the most interesting, this was the speed of my internet long before it failed. And the current speed, obviously the change is significant and I am happy to have this service.

Otro detalle que observe es que al conectar directamente el cable por lan, con el cable de cable ethernet no recibía la velocidad completa y se debe a que dos de las pc que tenemos en casa son muy viejas, y la placa madre al parecer tiene que ver con este problema. Lo solucionamos con receptores de wifi modelo usb y también ahora se recibe la velocidad completa.

Another detail that I observed is that when connecting directly the cable by lan, with the ethernet cable cable did not receive the full speed and it is because two of the pc's we have at home are very old, and the motherboard apparently has to do with this problem. We solved it with wifi receivers usb model and also now the full speed is received.

La descarga de juegos en steam es lo que mas feliz me hace, ya que descargo todo tipo de videojuegos en minutos, cuando antes debía hacerlo por partes y al menos tardaba 2 o 3 días. De igual manera la carga de archivos es super veloz, y puedo estar jugando, mientras ven alguna película en Netflix y usan tiktok en el teléfono.

Downloading games on steam is what makes me happiest, since I download all kinds of video games in minutes, when before I had to do it in parts and it took at least 2 or 3 days. Likewise, file uploading is super fast, and I can be playing games while watching a movie on Netflix and using tiktok on the phone.
