AMD RX 460 2GB, Does it hold up well in gaming today? AMD RX 460 2GB, ¿se mantiene bien en gaming hoy en día? (ENG/ESP)

➤ El mercado de las gráficas actualmente es un desastre, y creo que todos los interesados en armarse una PC decente para poder jugar y necesitemos de este componente, lo sabemos. Aún así si no somos personas exigentes o no buscamos algo realmenente tan potente como para jugar absolutamente todos los juegos o todos los juegos de aquí a 2 años, hay muchas opciones en el mercado, que si bien pueden ser viejas, son tarjetas gráficas que se siguen manteniendo en muchos juegos. Y dependiendo de nuestro interés, pueden ser buenas. Yo por ejemplo, la RX 460 la considero una gráfica perfecta para juegos esport, y juegos exigentes de 2019-2020 para abajo. E incluso alguno que otro juego de 2021 pero dependiendo de cuál. Estuve casi 1 año con esta gráfica y hoy vengo a contarles mi experiencia.

➤ Si lo que buscan es una gráfica para jugar cualquier juego actual en ultra y a 1080p, tengo que anticiparles que esta no es una opción. Pero eso no descarta que esta gráfica sea capaz de correr muchísimos juegos gráficamente hablando hermosos, a buenas resoluciones y muy buena calidad. Como mencioné antes considero que esta gráfica es perfecta para jugar la mayoría de los juegos exigentes de 2019 y quizá 2020 hacia abajo, pero todo dependiendo de nuestra exigencia. Esta gráfica es perfecta para ejecutar todo a resoluciones entre 720p y 900p, y 1080p dependiendo del juego. Creo que el mayor problema de esta gráfica no es su potencia en si, si no su cantidad de VRAM. Esta es la mayor limitante. Aunque esta versión en específico de 2GB de VRAM es muy util si logran conseguir la versión de 4GB creanme que es mucho mejor, esta gráfica en su versión de 4GB es prácticamente equivalente a una 1050ti y por la mitad de precio. Y ahora, hablemos de juegos competitivos, como por ejemplo CSGO y Valorant. Ambos juegos son perfectamente jugables a 1080p incluso con todas las configuraciones máximas a una muy buena cantidad de FPS, sobre pasando los 60. Y si no queremos la máxima calidad si no el máximo rendimiento, podríamos llegar a alcanzar más de 140fps en ambos juegos con una correcta modulación. Lástimosamente no tengo ninguna prueba de esto porque no tengo ambos juegos, pero en su momento los probé e iba de maravilla.

➤ En cuanto a su potencia bruta, esta gráfica cumple muy bien, y su equivalencia más directa en su versión de 2GB sería una GTX 950, también hay que tener en cuenta que hablamos de una gráfica de gama baja de 2016. Que estamos comparando con juegos exigentes tanto de este año como anteriores. Aún así lo mejor de esta gráfica es que sigue recibiendo actualizaciones a día de hoy, y cuenta con tecnologías que benefician muchísimo su rendimiento en comparación a otras gráficas más viejas pero mejores. Por ejemplo en esta gráfica tenemos todavía Directx12 completamente vigente, lo que nos permite jugar muchísimos juegos que por ejemplo con una 750ti no podríamos. (Que de hecho esta tarjeta gráfica es infinitamente mejor que una 750ti) Y está el típico rumor, el que las GT 1030 son la mejor gráfica gama baja para bajo presupuesto, esto es una total mentira. Hay infinidades de gráficas mejores que una GT 1030 y con un precio mucho más accesibles, debido a este rumor popular las 1030 son imposibles encontrarlas a lo que realmente valdrían. Y como claro ejemplo tenemos está pequeña RX 460, que es el triple de mejor que una GT 1030 y por la mitad de precio. De hecho esta gráfica la compré en 80$, un precio sumamente accesible. Mientras que una GT 1030 las vemos encima de 120$. Entonces, ¿qué juego exigente podemos correr en esta pequeña RX? Bueno, comenzaré mostrándoles The Witcher 3 con todos los gráficos en alto y una que otra opción en ultra, en 1366x768 siendo perfectamente ejecutable a 60fps estables.

➤ Para juegos de 2015, 2016, y 2017 esta gráfica rinde perfecto, corre absolutamente cualquier juego de estos años y de hecho la mayoría de juegos que he jugado son de esos tiempos. Pero aún así sorprendemente podemos ver a esta pequeña corriendo Read Dead Redemption 2 en 720p con los gráficos en bajo a 50-60fps, aunque no he sido capaz de probarlo por mi cuenta, lo he visto, pero solo quería mencionarlo. De hecho hace no mucho vi un Benchmark en YouTube de esta misma gráfica corriendo God of War a 40-50fps, cosa que ni hace la PS4 la cual en su momento lo jugaba a 30fps limitados. Uno de los juegos que más pude disfrutar fue Dar Souls, jugándolo perfectamente en 1336x768 con absolutamente todos los gráficos en altos, y de hecho puede jugarse igual de perfecto a resoluciones mucho mayores, pero por alguna razón este juego no adaptaba bien la resolución de 1440x900, que es la resolución nativa de mi monitor.

➤ ¿Y qué tal si ahora hablamos de juegos más exigentes? Como por ejemplo Rise of The Tomb Raider, un juego mal optimizado, exigente y destructor de vram. Lo digo por todo lo que viví para poder jugar este juego, realmente no podemos esperar la máxima configuración, pero es perfectamente jugable en 1440x900 en gráficos medios-bajos, y alguna que otra opción en alto, y hacer que siga luciendo igual de hermoso. Siendo un juego que sobre todo para su calidad gráfica media o alta exige muchísimo.

➤ Y otro juego muy ejemplar, hmm. Veamos, Nier Automata. Una obra maestra que creo que todos conocemos y alguna vez quisimos jugar, perfectamente jugable en esta gráfica con casi todas las configuraciones en alto a 1440x900 a 60fps muy estables, exceptuando en algunas zonas excesivamente grandes donde puede que bajen un poco, aunque si preferimos el rendimiento antes que la calidad, podremos jugarlo a 60fps donde sea con la configuración adecuada. Y es que como les digo, esta tarjeta gráfica es capaz de jugar muchísimos juegos exigentes que no podríamos con cualquier otra tarjeta de su rango de precio, de hecho es capaz de correr juegos como Apex, Fortnite, Warzone y aún más titulos que son famosos hoy en día.

➤ Si lo que buscamos no es jugar todos los juegos sacados en estos últimos 2 años en la mejor calidad, y solo queremos poder disfrutar de muchísimos títulos del mercado sin ningún problema, sin gastar demasiado y tener una muy buena experiencia, considero perfecta esta gráfica, por su relación calidad-precio, que es mucho más conveniente que una GT 1030, por ejemplo. As I mentioned before I consider this graphics is perfect to play most of the demanding games of 2019 and maybe 2020 down, but all depending on our demand. This graphics is perfect to run everything at resolutions between 720p and 900p, and 1080p depending on the game. I think the biggest problem with this graphics is not its power itself, but its amount of VRAM. This is the biggest limitation. Although this specific version of 2GB of VRAM is very useful if you manage to get the 4GB version believe me it is much better, this graphics in its 4GB version is practically equivalent to a 1050ti and for half the price. And now, let's talk about competitive games, such as CSGO and Valorant. Both games are perfectly playable at 1080p even with all the maximum settings at a very good amount of FPS, over 60. And if we don't want the highest quality but the maximum performance, we could reach more than 140fps in both games with a correct modulation. ➤ If what we are looking for is not to play all the games released in these last 2 years in the best quality, and we just want to be able to enjoy many, many titles on the market without any problem, without spending too much and having a very good experience, I consider this graphics card perfect, for its value for money, which is much more convenient than a GT 1030, for example.
