Fortnite is not for me or for my phone.

One of the reasons why I spend so much time reviewing and testing video games for smartphones is because beyond how fun they are in themselves, they are often a very interesting sample of the capabilities of our devices, as well as how technology has evolved in general and the way in which the developer studios create certain titles.

I have already talked about my phone on several occasions, a mi 11 Lite with 8gb of RAM and 128gb of ROM that most of the time meets everything I demand of it, allows me to multitask, takes decent images and most of the time He runs one of my favorite video games without much inconvenience.

Although until now the most complex title I had tried was the mobile version of PUBG, I am aware that my Xiaomi 11Lite is actually part of the mid-range, which means that despite its power those most demanding games could start to suffer a bit.

My point with all this introduction is that for me trying Fortnite was not so much an exercise to kill my curiosity about the game itself (Although I had never tried it and I certainly wanted to) but to see if its undeniable graphic quality was capable of humiliating my humble device: and so it was.

In theory everything works fine, although the resolution is quite low and the framerate drops extremely easily, anyone who feels obsessed with trying fortnite could kill the craving for it in a couple of short sessions.

Although I am not an expert in compatibility and processor issues, it would not be crazy to assume that it is an optimization problem rather than raw power, despite the fact that it is a graphically attractive game and plagued with many complex mechanics (Driving, shooting and building) I feel like my phone should be able to handle it with good framerate even if the resolution and lighting effects were lousy.

Leaving aside all these technical aspects, I must admit that fortnite seems to be a very entertaining game, it is quite overwhelming due to its large number of playable possibilities, but I feel that by investing a good time in it, it is possible to enjoy it a lot. the games I played took place on maps full of bots so I won without much difficulty (Even if everything was running rough).

For obvious reasons I don't plan to play many more games but I am willing to try other titles that are just as demanding.

As a brief reflection, although I know that the performance of Fortnite is not ideal (neither on my phone nor on many other more or less powerful ones), I can't help but admire how much technology has advanced and how surprising it is that we even managed to To run work of this magnitude on our devices, Fortnite is a somewhat bitter example (Considering that it is not even available in the Play Store) but there are many others with better results.
