En esta ocasión quiero hablarles un poco de mi experiencia con la tecnología audiovisual.

Hace un par de años cuando llegué a Ecuador con mi familia y no tenia televisor en ese momento, mi hija mayor Ammy, quería ver su comiquita o tambien conocidas como dibujos infantiles, la favorita era Peppa pig, asi que pasaron un par de meses hasta que pudimos adquirir un televisor usado LCD de 32 pulgadas marca TOMICO en excelente estado.

Aún en este tiempo presente es el televisor que utilizamos. Bueno, era solo el principio de lo que necesitabamos comprar ya que tampoco teníamos internet en la casa en ese entonces, así que le instale una antena al televisor y solamente se veían canales nacionales.

This time I want to tell you a little about my experience with audiovisual technology.

En algunos canales se podía ver comiquitas los fines de semana en la mañana. Recuerdo una que siempre veía con mi hija se llamaba Doraemon y Nobita, y no podían faltar Los Simpsons pero esta última no dejaba que mi hija la viera, pasamos algunos meses así hasta que mi cuñado nos regaló un DVD y un algunas películas de su colección.

Empecé a comprarles comiquitas, películas infantiles a mis hijas, fueron momentos de mucha alegría para mis hijas, ya que veía una y otra vez las mismas comiquitas sin cansarse, la repetían tantas veces que tenía que comprar otra vez la misma comiquita, yo por mi parte vi muchas películas también disfrute mucho con el DVD y el televisor, todos los fines de semanas compraba una o dos peliculas.

Al tiempo el DVD se dañó, de tantas películas que se vieron le sacamos el jugo, como decimos. Mi cuñada tenia un Blu Ray marca LG con entradas USB, que necesitaba mantenimiento, yo mismo se lo hice y funcionó excelente.

In some channels you could watch cartoons on weekends in the morning. I remember one that I always watched with my daughter, it was called Doraemon and Nobita, and The Simpsons, but I would not let my daughter watch the latter, we spent a few months like that until my brother in law gave us a DVD and some movies from his collection.

I started to buy cartoons and children's movies for my daughters, it was a very happy moment for my daughters, since they watched the same cartoon over and over again without getting tired, they repeated it so many times that I had to buy the same cartoon again, I saw many movies and I also enjoyed a lot with the DVD and the TV, every weekend I bought one or two movies.

After a while the DVD got damaged, from so many movies that were seen we took the juice out of it, as we say. My sister-in-law had an LG Blu Ray with USB inputs, which needed maintenance, I did it myself and it worked excellent.

Esta vez las películas se veían con muy buena calidad grafica, si eran de formato Blu Ray, quedé enamorado en la forma como se veían las películas, pase de los cables RCA a los cables HDMI de alta velocidad, mi esposa compró una memoria USB (pendrive) de 16 gigas, era genial porque solo descargaba las comiquitas que las niñas querían ver.

Una vez más, al tiempo se dañó la unidad de Blu Ray o sea ya no leía los discos, pero si funcionaba la entrada USB, por esa parte estaba más tranquilo porque las niñas seguían viendo sus comiquitas favoritas, después de varios meses se pudo instalar el internet en la casa, y aun asi seguiamos descargandole comiquitas a las niñas a través del teléfono celular y las pasaba al pendrive con la ayuda de un cable OTG.

De la misma forma descargaba las películas en formato 1080, con una aplicación y a través de una pagina de peliculas compatible con esta app, es muy facil descargar las peliculas allí, en la actulidad la sigo utilizando para ver peliculas en mi celular.

Once again, after a while the Blu Ray drive was damaged, it was no longer reading the discs, but the USB input was working, for that part I was calmer because the girls continued watching their favorite comics, after several months the internet could be installed in the house, and even so we continued downloading comics to the girls through the cell phone and passed them to the pendrive with the help of an OTG cable.

In the same way I downloaded the movies in 1080 format, with an application and through a movie site compatible with this app, it is very easy to download the movies there, at the present time I still use it to watch movies on my cell phone.

A principios de 2021 me recomendaron un aparato que transformaba tu televisor tradicional en un smart-tv, lo cual era mi caso, podría tener acceso a YouTube y a otras aplicaciones sin cambiar de televisión y me pareció genial, este equipo es el popular TV BOX.

Un compañero de trabajo ya habían comprado uno, y me comentaba que funcionaba excelente, podías navegar en YouTube y Google en el televisor viejo, así que tome la decisión de comprar uno para mi, según la reseña que me había dado mi compañero.

Compre un TV BOX, marca MXQ pro 5G, 8k con las características siguientes compatible con android 11.1 una memoria RAM de 16G y un almacenamiento de 256G con wifi 2.4, me parecía ireal todas estas especificaciones por el precio que pagué.

Hasta que lo instalé y pude ver la triste realidad de que todo, esto no era cierto, si vino con android 11.1 pero el RAM y el almacenamiento no era lo que la caja decía, bueno en fin, si cumplió con el objetivo que era convertir tu televisor viejo en smart.

Mi experiencia con el control remoto del TV BOX era muy tediosa ya que había que poner letra por letra en el teclado virtual me resultó muy fastidiosa y difícil de manipular, para facilitar las cosas compré un mini teclado que funcionaba como control remoto, era más fácil de manipular para mí y mi esposa.

El TV Box ya tiene un año con nosotros, ya con el tiempo a veces falla un poco, en noviembre del año pasado, el control que había comprado se dañó o mejor dicho, lo dañaron los niños en un descuido de mi esposa jeje, así que tuvimos que comprar otro.

Como tuve que viajar, ella quedó a cargo de comprar el nuevo mini control, pero resulta que compró un combo nuevo de Tv Box más control que le ofrecieron súper económico y al yo no estar y ella no saberlo instalar, no lo pudo probar al momento y perdió la garantía.

As I had to travel, she was in charge of buying the new mini control, but it turns out that she bought a new combo of Tv Box plus control that was offered super economical and since I was not there and she did not know how to install it, she could not test it at the time and lost the warranty.

No solo se perdió la garantía, cuando yo regresé lo instalé y no funcionaba, tuve que quitarlo y poner nuestro viejo Tv Box, que es el que sigue funcionando. Bien dicen lo barato sale caro, ya que ni el control sirve, lo medio arreglé para que funcione mientras volvemos a comprar otro.

Quien más ha disfrutado el Televisor con esta nueva función es mi hija Amelie, ella ve mucho a unos niños Youtubers que viven en Canadá, se ha visto casi todos sus videos en español, hubo un tiempo en que nadie podía ver otra cosa que no fuera Heidy y Zidane.

Not only the warranty was lost, when I returned I installed it and it did not work, I had to remove it and put our old Tv Box, which is the one that still works. Well they say cheap is expensive, since not even the control works, I half fixed it so it works while we go back to buy another one.

The one who has enjoyed the TV the most with this new function is my daughter Amelie, she watches a lot of Youtubers kids that live in Canada, she has seen almost all their videos in Spanish, there was a time when no one could watch anything else but Heidy and Zidane.

Ahora, de una manera milagrosa, ella comparte el televisor con su hermano menor Joaquín y lo deja ver su comiquita favorita que es el payaso Plim Plim y así pasan los días, compartiendo el televisor para uno y otro, además de sus otras actividades que realizar, como jugar con sus juguetes.

Now, in a miraculous way, she shares the TV with her younger brother Joaquin and lets him watch his favorite cartoon, Plim Plim the clown, and so the days go by, sharing the TV for both of them, besides their other activities, like playing with their toys.

Creo que se ha cumplido el propósito, ya que todo esto se hizo para ellos y por ellos. Estamos pensando comprar un Tv Box Xiaomi y mejorar así las cosas, ya que como dije el actual tiene un año y tal vez un poco más y ya está pidiendo un cambio.

Vi en estos días que la comunidad sacó un reporte sobre esto de los Tv Box y voy a leerlos para informarme sobre otras marcas y reseñas. Gracias por ese tipo de información amigos de Geek Zone.

I think the purpose has been fulfilled, since all this was done for them and by them. We are thinking of buying a Xiaomi Tv Box and improve things this way, since as I said the current one is a year old and maybe a little more and it is already asking for a change.
