Saludos amigos de Geek Zone, esta es mi primera publicación en esta comunidad. Es un gusto para mi comenzar a compartir con todos ustedes los dispositivos tecnológicos que recientemente he adquirido y cuál ha sido mi experiencia.
Greetings friends of Geek Zone, this is my first post in this community. It is a pleasure for me to start sharing with all of you the technological devices that I have recently acquired and what has been my experience with them.
Confieso que me gusta la tecnología, pero contradictoriamente no entiendo mucho de esas cosas, unas se me hacen más sencillas, y otras, pues no tanto, al punto de tener que buscar ayuda en algún amigo informático.
I confess that I like technology, but contradictorily I don't understand much about these things, some are easier for me, and others, not so much, to the point of having to seek help from a computer friend.
Cuando voy a comprar algún dispositivo, un teléfono, un Ipod, tablets, entre otros, me gusta informarme bien, leer las páginas que hablen sobre ello y saber que opinan los usuarios, ya que esto es muy importante para estar segura que no estaré botando mi dinero. Ahora estoy un poco alejada de este mundo porque desde hace 1 año y medio no tengo servicio de internet, trabajo con saldo y es bastante estresante. Esto no ha impedido que busque cualquier información (no de manera exhaustiva) y cuando no la entiendo, no me queda más remedio que confiar en los amigos que considero más expertos en el tema.
When I am going to buy a device, a phone, an Ipod, tablets, among others, I like to be well informed, read the pages that talk about it and know what users think, as this is very important to be sure that I will not be throwing my money away. Now I am a little far from this world because I have not had internet service for a year and a half, I work with a balance and it is quite stressful. This has not prevented me from looking for any information (not exhaustively) and when I do not understand it, I have no choice but to rely on friends who I consider more experts on the subject.
Recientemente adquirí un dispositivo Bluetooth externo, en el folleto que trae dice Bluetooth CSR 4.0 Dongle. La verdad es que lo compré porque mi laptop no lo tiene integrado, es un dinosaurio como dicen en mi país Venezuela, porque la compré en el año 2009. Recuerdo que había unas con Bluetooth integrado, yo ni idea de que se trataba eso, y por el precio me decidí por una de menor costo. Quizá la hubiese comprado con el Bluetooth, pero no sabía si contaba con el monto, en aquellos tiempos los Smartphone no estaban disponibles para revisar las cuentas, obvio 2009, y si los había yo no me enteré. Lo cierto es que la compré con el WI-Fi, tampoco sin saber que era (que horror), y gracias a Dios que la compré con esa tecnología, como me ha sido útil de verdad. En aquel momento la compré con WI-FI por llevarme algo moderno, todas las laptop la tenían, pero el Bluetooth si era opcional.
I recently purchased an external Bluetooth device, in the brochure it says Bluetooth CSR 4.0 Dongle. The truth is that I bought it because my laptop does not have it integrated, it is a dinosaur as they say in my country Venezuela, because I bought it in 2009. I remember that there were some with integrated Bluetooth, I had no idea what that was about, and because of the price I decided for a lower cost one. Maybe I would have bought it with Bluetooth, but I did not know if I had the amount, in those days Smartphones were not available to check the accounts, obviously 2009, and if there were, I did not know about it. The truth is that I bought it with WI-Fi, also without knowing what it was (what a horror), and thank God I bought it with that technology, as it has been really useful to me. At that time I bought it with WI-FI because I wanted something modern, all laptops had it, but Bluetooth was optional.
En fin, gracias al Wi-FI he podido trabajar de manera inalámbrica cuando tenía internet y ahora que no cuento con el servicio, mi celular le da WI-FI a la laptop para poder hacer mis trabajos en Wordpress y también mis publicaciones en Hive. Desde mi teléfono puedo trabajar en Hive, pero para el Wordpress es obligado hacerlo desde la computadora.
Anyway, thanks to Wi-FI I have been able to work wirelessly when I had internet and now that I don't have the service, my cell phone gives WI-FI to the laptop so I can do my work in Wordpress and also my publications in Hive. From my phone I can work in Hive, but for Wordpress I have to do it from the computer.
Para mis publicaciones en Hive siempre debo estar subiendo las fotografías, no obstante, primero debo descargarlas en la computadora. Para ello usaba mi cable USB, pero se comenzó a volver tarea tediosa, primero por la cantidad de fotos. Antes de poder seleccionarlas debo esperar que se lean todas las fotos y ya tengo más de 7 mil. Segundo, las fotos se van guardando en cada carpeta que el mismo teléfono va organizado, sin embargo, cuando conecto el cable para seleccionar las fotos, solo lee las que están en la carpeta “cámara”. A veces olvidaba moverlas y perdía el tiempo, tenía que desconectar el teléfono, mover las fotos a la carpeta “cámara”, volver a conectar el teléfono con el cable USB a la laptop y volver a empezar, es decir, que lea todas las fotos para luego seleccionarlas. Todo un proceso.
For my publications in Hive I always have to upload the photos, but first I have to download them to the computer. I used to use my USB cable for this, but it started to become a tedious task, first because of the amount of photos. Before I can select them I have to wait for all the photos to be read and I already have more than 7 thousand. Second, the photos are saved in each folder that the phone itself organizes, however, when I connect the cable to select the photos, it only reads the ones in the "camera" folder. Sometimes I forgot to move them and wasted time, I had to disconnect the phone, move the photos to the "camera" folder, reconnect the phone with the USB cable to the laptop and start again, that is, read all the photos and then select them. A whole process.
Pero eso no era todo, cuando hacía alguna edición, las fotos no se ven en la pantalla, tengo que seleccionarlas buscando el número de la imagen, la única manera de identificarlas. Eso de verdad me hacía perder el tiempo, a veces se me pasaba alguna y bueno, había que iniciar el proceso otra vez, de verdad es que es súper tedioso.
But that was not all, when I did some editing, the photos were not visible on the screen, I had to select them by looking for the number of the image, the only way to identify them. That really wasted my time, sometimes I missed one and well, I had to start the process all over again, it's really super tedious.
Aparte de eso, las fotos en el teléfono se ordenan por fecha, eso significaba que al moverlas a la carpeta “cámara” se me perdían cuando las quería pasar a la laptop, todo un lío, porque las colocaba en la fecha original que se tomó. Creo que por todo eso que he explicado la adquisición del dispositivo Bluetooth era más que necesaria.
Apart from that, the photos on the phone are sorted by date, that meant that when I moved them to the "camera" folder they were lost when I wanted to move them to the laptop, quite a mess, because I placed them on the original date they were taken. I think that for all that I have explained the acquisition of the Bluetooth device was more than necessary.
Fui a la tienda de un amigo en un centro comercial de la ciudad donde vivo, Cumaná, estado Sucre, lo vi y no dudé en comprarlo, todo con tal de simplificar mi vida, de verdad lo necesitaba. Mi amigo me lo vendió en 8$. No me lo van a creer, pero lo compré a ciegas, no leí nada sobre eso, para mí era solo un Bluetooth que yo necesitaba para transferir archivos, me urgía.

El dispositivo viene en una cajita transparente, solo trae un folletito con las especificaciones y el dispositivo en color negro, como se ve es bastante pequeño. Lo más resaltante que se puede ver allí es en cuales sistemas operativos se puede usar: Windows versiones 98, XP, Vista, 7,8 y 10. Mi laptop tiene instalado Windows 10 Pro.
The device comes in a transparent box, it only comes with a small sheet with the specifications and the device in black color, as you can see it is quite small. The most important thing you can see there is which operating systems can be used: Windows versions 98, XP, Vista, 7, 8 and 10. My laptop has Windows 10 Pro installed.
Entre otras de sus características es el rango de recepción y envío, entre 10 m y 20 m. También pude observar que es la versión 4.0. Luego leyendo me entero que hay clases y versiones para el Bluetooth, sé que muchos se sorprenderán, pero yo no le prestaba atención a eso. La versión tiene que ver con la velocidad de transferencia, la 4.0 no es la más rápida, pero funciona. Mientras que la clase se refiere al rango, allí no lo dice, o como yo no sé mucho de eso pues no lo veo, pero de acuerdo a lo que leí es clase 2.
Among other features is the range of receiving and sending, between 10 m and 20 m. I could also see that it is version 4.0. Then reading I learn that there are classes and versions for Bluetooth, I know many will be surprised, but I did not pay attention to that. The version has to do with the transfer speed, 4.0 is not the fastest, but it works. While the class refers to the range, it doesn't say it there, or as I don't know much about it I don't see it, but according to what I read it is class 2.
Después de desempaquetarlo, lo agregué al computador, lo vinculé, el procedimiento es sencillo, es el mismo que hacemos cuando queremos hacer una trasferencia de archivos entre Smartphones. Pero ¿qué creen?, yo me enredé toda, porque era la primera vez que usaba unos de estos, lo pude vincular, pero cuando quise extraerlo no encontré la opción para expulsar el Hardware y cometí unas locuras, quité el ícono del Bluetooth y después no sabía cómo ponerlo, busqué en Youtube, leí… en fin, lo volví a vincular y a agregar el ícono, pero nunca encontré como expulsarlo de la manera correcta. Es el fallo que le encuentro, así que lo extraigo así con las lucecitas azules prendidas, indicativo de que está funcionando. No me gusta hacerlo así porque puede dañarse, pero no encontré la forma.
After unpacking it, I added it to the computer, I linked it, the procedure is simple, it is the same that we do when we want to make a file transfer between Smartphones. But what do you think, I got all tangled up, because it was the first time I used one of these, I could link it, but when I wanted to remove it I could not find the option to eject the Hardware and I did some crazy things, I removed the Bluetooth icon and then I did not know how to put it, I searched on Youtube, I read... in short, I linked it again and added the icon, but I never found how to eject it in the right way. That's the bug I find, so I extract it like this with the little blue lights on, indicating that it's working. I don't like to do it this way because it can get damaged, but I couldn't find a way to do it.
A lo que voy con este dispositivo, lo que realmente me interesa, hice la prueba con la transferencia de archivos, no me pareció que fuera muy rápido, tampoco tan lento. Lo que si noté es que a veces lo hace muy rápido, sobre todo en la madrugada. Hubo un momento que envié tres archivos y se cargaron en un segundo, de verdad ni cuenta me di.
What I'm going with this device, what really interests me, I tested with the file transfer, I did not find it to be very fast, not so slow either. What I did notice is that sometimes it does it very fast, especially in the early morning. There was a moment when I sent three files and they were uploaded in a second, I really didn't even notice it.
Para hacer la transferencia de fotos desde mi Smartphone Redmi 9 solo doy clic con el botón derecho del mouse en el ícono del Bluetooth que aparece en la laptop y selecciono en el “menú recibir un archivo”. Enseguida se abre una ventana para la transferencia de archivos. Luego en mi teléfono con el Bluetooth encendido, selecciono los archivos desde cualquier carpeta y elijo enviarlos por Bluetooth a la laptop, que ya está vinculada. En la pantalla de mi computadora se puede ver como se cargan los archivos. Una vez listos, doy clic en finalizar y estos se guardan automáticamente en la carpeta documentos.
To transfer photos from my Redmi 9 Smartphone I just right click on the Bluetooth icon that appears on the laptop and select "receive a file" from the menu. Then a file transfer window opens. Then on my phone with Bluetooth turned on, I select files from any folder and choose to send them via Bluetooth to the laptop, which is already paired. On my computer screen you can see the files being uploaded. Once ready, I click finish and they are automatically saved in the documents folder.

De verdad que puedo decir que la experiencia es buena, no pierdo tiempo, solo selecciono las fotos que quiero cargar en la computadora y listo, desde cualquier carpeta. No tengo que moverla de una carpeta a otra, ni adivinar cual foto es o perdiendo la vista identificándola por el número de la imagen. Hay veces que se trata de una sola foto y en segundos ya la he cargada, esto es genial.
I can really say that the experience is good, I don't waste time, I just select the photos I want to upload to the computer and that's it, from any folder. I don't have to move it from one folder to another, or guess which photo it is or lose sight of it identifying it by the number of the image. There are times when it's just one photo and in seconds I have it loaded, this is great!.
Los fallos
The failures
- No encontré como expulsar el hardware.
- I could not find how to eject the hardware.
- Cuando son muchos archivos se queda como en pausa y debo hacer la transferencia por lotes de 4 o 5 fotos.
- When there are many files, it pauses and I have to transfer 4 or 5 photos in batches.

Me ha sido muy útil usar este dispositivo externo Bluetooth, porque la transferencia de archivos es básicamente mí día a día para mis publicaciones en Hive. No pierdo tiempo, aunque cuando debo subir 30 o más fotos, me inclino por el cable USB porque me es más funcional.
I have found it very useful to use this external Bluetooth device, because file transfer is basically my day-to-day for my Hive publications. I don't waste time, although when I have to upload 30 or more photos, I go for the USB cable because it is more functional for m.
