I think that the dream of most of us who consider ourselves gamers is by far to one day have the PC gamer that allows us to be part of that much-appreciated gaming guild called "PC Gaming Master race" lol, or at least in my case it has been so. I have always been a console lover, but I think the fact of being able to have a computer that would allow me to do daily tasks and at the same time play games seemed tremendous to me.

Creo que el sueño de la mayoría de los que nos consideramos gamers es con diferencia el poder tener algún día nuestra propia PC gamer que nos permita ser parte de ese tan apreciado gremio del gaming llamado “Pc Gaming Master race” lol, o bueno al menos en mi caso así lo ha sido. Y es que siempre he sido una persona amante de las consolas, pero creo que el hecho de poder tener un computador que me permitiese hacer tareas del día a día y a su vez jugar me parecía tremendo.

This was the reason why in its day (2014) I decided to start with peripherals as I saw it as the option in which I could go setting, and that I could use while I gathered the money to buy the most important thing that is the machine. So, as you know the wave of peripherals called "gaming" as such was a market that there was not much to grab at that time, I didn't want to skimp and along with other purchases for my PS3 I decided to buy headset + keyboard of the same brand.

Es por esto que en su día (2014) decidí empezar por los periféricos ya que lo vi como la opción en la que podía irme ambientando, y que podría usar mientras reunía el dinero para comprarme lo más importante que es la máquina. Entonces, como sabrán la ola de periféricos denominados “gaming” como tal era un mercado que no había mucho para donde agarrar en ese entonces, yo no quería escatimar y junto con otras compras para mi PS3 decidí adquirir headset + teclado de la misma marca.

The brand is none other than Thermaltake, which today is one of the pillar brands of pc-gaming accessories, but in its department dedicated to e-sports which is 'Tt-esports'. To be honest, at that time I did not know too much about peripherals, I was 14 years old and I just wanted something that visually for me was nice and fit my budget, that is why after wandering on amazon I could finally find this keyboard which I fell in love with and that is why I decided to buy it almost instantly which was the Challenger Ultimate.

La marca es ni más ni menos que Thermaltake, la cual hoy en día es uno de los brands pilares de los accesorios para pc-gaming, pero en su departamento dedicado a los e-sports el cual es ‘Tt-esports’. Siendo sincero en ese momento no sabía demasiado acerca de periféricos, tenía 14 años y solo quería algo que visualmente para mi fuera bonito y se ajustase a mi presupuesto, es por esto que luego de divagar en amazon pude encontrar finalmente a este teclado el cual me enamoró y es por esto que decidí adquirirlo casi que de manera instantánea el cual fue el Challenger Ultimate.

So you are probably wondering, why do you say 'forgotten'?, well, the point here is that as such they were peripherals that I didn't give them an extreme use because being honest, what use could a child with a PS3 give him besides doing work in Office tools? Entonces seguramente se estarán preguntando, ¿Por qué le dices ‘olvidado’?, bueno, la cuestión acá es que como tal fueron periféricos que yo realmente no les dí un uso extremo porque siendo sinceros, ¿Qué uso le podía dar un niño con una PS3 además del hacer trabajos en las herramientas de Office?. La respuesta es simple, ninguno más, por lo que fueron olvidados en sus cajas con un uso relativamente esporádico hasta el día de hoy que decidí darles uso. Entonces, veamos luego de 8 años de su compra que tal me parece este dispositivo, y habiendo tantos productos en la actualidad ¿Qué tal rendirá? Veámoslo.

So, as we know today the market of keyboards dedicated to gaming has advanced a lot since we have different branches of the same that can range from membrane keyboards to the famous mechanical keyboards. This in its case is a membrane keyboard, perhaps in the gaming field may be disproportionate to the others by the amount of response that may have the same, however in my opinion is quite stable and gives acceptable response times for the time it has so for any type of competitive game I would say that it can give a similar performance to other membrane keyboards and acceptable with some disproportion to the mechanical ones.

Entonces, como sabemos hoy en día el mercado de teclados dedicados al gaming ha avanzado muchísimo ya que tenemos distintas ramas de los mismos que pueden ir desde los teclados de membrana hasta los famosos teclados mecánicos. Este en su caso es un teclado de membrana, quizás en el ámbito gaming pueda verse desproporcionado frente a los otros por la cantidad de respuesta que pueda tener el mismo, sin embargo a mi parecer es bastante estable y da tiempos de respuestas aceptables para el tiempo que tiene por lo que para cualquier tipo de juego competitivo diría que puede dar un rendimiento similar a otros teclados de membrana y aceptable con cierta desproporción con respecto a los mecánicos.

In my opinion, taking into account the years it has I think its design is quite nice, it manages elegant finishes that make a total allusion to the approach of the keyboard itself without looking aberrant. Honestly, I did not like at all where the gaming range of peripherals was going in those years in terms of designs as they were a bit outrageous unlike what they are today. This keyboard certainly represents a bit of the essence of the time I bought it which was 2014 but without jumping to the outrageous point that I could see in many, many keyboards when I had the task of buying this one. It also has removable keys and some that others that we can put to our liking as the one in the photo, which gives it that even more customizable touch.

A mi parecer teniendo en cuenta los años que tiene creo que su diseño es bastante bonito, maneja acabados elegantes que hacen una total alusión al enfoque del propio teclado sin parecer aberrantes. Sinceramente no me gustaba para nada por donde iba la gama gaming de periféricos en aquellos años en lo que respecta a los diseños ya que eran un poco escandalosos a diferencia de lo que son hoy en día. Este keyboard sin duda representa un poco de la esencia de la época que lo compré que fue 2014 pero sin saltar al punto escandaloso que pude ver en muchísimos teclados cuando tuve la tarea de comprar éste. Posee también teclas desmontables y algunas que otras que podremos poner a nuestro gusto como la de la foto, lo cual le da ese toque aún más personalizable.

I think I've ever seen keyboards of the time with horrible designs, as some other gaming brought from China, although well, this issue of designs is already controversial because of how subjective it is because each person can have their perception and concept of what is considered beautiful or ugly so I would like to know in comments to your perception comparing it with the current ones that you think because although it may seem normal today many mechanical keyboards have beautiful and quite sober designs, which is the branch by which I usually go for tastes.

Creo que incluso he visto teclados de la época con diseños horribles, como algún que otro gaming traído de china.Aunque bueno, ya de por sí este tema de diseños es algo controversial por lo subjetivo que es ya que cada persona puede tener su percepción propia y concepto de lo que considera bonito o feo por lo que me gustaría saber en comentarios a su percepción comparándolo con los actuales que tal les parece, ya que si bien puede parecer normal hoy en día hay muchos teclados mecánicos que realmente tienen diseños hermosos y bastante sobrios, que es la rama por la cual yo me suelo ir de gustos.

User interface

Using an interface we will be able to manage this lighting in all the senses of the same, since from the keys as the one that includes the logo of 'Tt' can be put with the color that you want, which adds that plus more when it comes to want to make the keyboard more adaptable to our set-up. In addition to this we can control the macro keys that the keyboard has, which would be 10 in specific which can be adapted some interesting shortcuts either predefined as the basic cut, copy and paste, etc.. Even the shortcut path of our preference, being honest it is a fairly simple interface but it helps a lot to illustrate clearly all the handling.

Por medio de una interfaz podremos manejar esto de la iluminación en todos los sentidos del mismo, ya que desde las teclas como la que comprende al logo de ‘Tt’ puede ponerse con el color que se desee, lo cual agrega ese plus más a la hora de querer hacer el teclado más adaptable a nuestro set-up. Además de esto podremos controlar las macro teclas con las que cuenta el teclado, que vendrían siendo 10 en específico las cuales se les puede adaptar algunos atajos interesantes ya sea predefinidos como el básico cortar, copiar y pegar, etc. Hasta la ruta de atajos de nuestra preferencia, siendo sinceros es una interfaz bastante sencilla pero que ayuda bastante a ilustrar de manera clara todo el manejo.

No doubt it is made for gaming but I see this keyboard more than for gaming as a tool for everything. Why do I say this? Because it has something that at least to me is incredibly useful and that is that the keyboard has nothing more and nothing less than in the back has different ports that usually go in the case. Among them two USB ports that give us a fairly convenient access, plus at least in my case my motherboard only has 4 USB ports not counting those of the case, so how incredibly useful that make me life to connect the controller directly to the keyboard and has no delay which works almost instantly.

Sin duda se que está hecho para gaming pero veo a este teclado más que como para jugar como una herramienta para todo. ¿Por qué digo esto? Y es que cuenta con algo que por lo menos a mi me resulta increíblemente útil y es que el teclado tiene nada más y nada menos que en su parte trasera tiene distintos puertos que suelen ir en el case. Entre ellos dos puertos USB que nos dan un acceso bastante cómodo, además de que por lo menos en mi caso mi placa madre solo tiene 4 puertos USB sin contar los del case, por lo que lo increíblemente útil que me hacen la vida para poder conectar el mando directamente al teclado y no posee ningún tipo de delay el cual funciona prácticamente al instante.

I think that to conclude and as far as I am concerned I think it is certainly a pretty good peripheral, rather than as something 'gaming' I see it as a useful tool as it gives me that plus in my setup that makes me much easier things without a doubt. I recommend it, although if you are looking for something more focused on gaming I would recommend going for a mechanic that can improve the feel of the key touch in high demand games like e-sports. Lo recomiendo, aunque si estás buscando algo más enfocado al gaming te recomendaría irte por un mecánico que pueda hacer mejorar la sensación del toque de teclas en juegos de alta demanda como e-sports.
