¡Hola nuevamente!

Hello again! Thanks for stopping by and welcome. I have been doing a couple of reviews of some of the financial apps that are most used in my country. I already did a review of Zinli as an app that makes it a bit easier to purchase services online through their prepaid cards but there is another startup that I have been using practically since its inception and they have some pretty interesting features so I want to do a new post explaining why Reserve App may be of interest to users, especially those who want to safeguard their money against the constant inflation in Venezuela while securing some withdrawal options on a platform that is designed with a simple interface and a decent to good technical support.

I will of course answer a little bit the question of whether this app is worth downloading instead of another, a few months ago I would tell you that Reserve has no rival apart from the always reliable Binance but today I do not see it so clear, still maybe some users will like the simple interface and the exchange and withdrawal services offered by the Reserve team because for something they have been the #1 app in downloads in the finance category in Venezuela, so let's take a quick look!

Once you have downloaded the app from the Play Store, the registration process is a bit restrictive in my opinion as you can only access an account if you have a phone number in countries like Venezuela or Colombia, but I will be fair to say that they are probably working to expand coverage to other countries, Everything is fine when it comes to verify the cell phone, the messages arrive well despite not having coverage, all the times I installed Reserve either for a friend or family I never had any problem in this area unlike for example Zinli in which to this day I have not been able to verify my identity.

Moving on to the interface is a little more compact than many of the apps I use, also plays in favor that weighs just under 22 MB in the phone storage, once we complete the registration launches us to our Home page where we can see the balances we have as Dollars, I make a parenthesis here to clarify that these are NOT dollars per se but a way that has the app to register and store the credits of its users, according to a AMA that the developers had on the Reddit platform commented that the currency used in the app is a Stablecoin, for the cryptocurrency connoisseur will know that this is a type of currency that aims to maintain a single value resembling fiat currencies (or FIAT) such as the dollar or state currencies.

We venture into the Load and Withdrawal options as they are the ones that, in my opinion, stand out when I compare this app to others in the Store, they work identically to the others where we can deposit bolivars in exchange for having dollars* in our account balance but what changes here is the variety of options, there are a TON of options with Reserve when it comes to recharge our account, we have a section of most used which highlights the services that users use the most to recharge but you can withdraw bolivares (pesos, crypto. .) even from some banks that I didn't even know existed, I was a little surprised by the variety of options that the app has in this sense but then I realized that there is a reason for all this.

The rates. Reserve operates with workers from the same app so, I'm not going to be harsh here but, the rates are very outdated with the actuality of the country, there are times where I found rates that almost duplicated those of other financial applications of this style and it's a shame, I tried to do some research on why some of these rates were up to 10%-20% above rates like those of the BCV but the only thing I found was a response in the comments section of the app store where they said that these rates were competitive in the market, crazy in my opinion with all the options that are on the market today and even more so, in Venezuela.

I think Reserve started out as a great idea in the last year in light of the impossibility of truly safeguarding your money in a simple and intuitive way for users, I attribute it to the fact that the feeling of the app and all their social media marketing apparatus bring that feeling of familiarity for their users to prefer them over and over again, but since I may have become accustomed to using much more affordable options, even in my experience simpler ones, Reserve is not an app for me, it may be for the person who is just starting to understand how to safeguard their money and doesn't want to get into the messes of Binance or the banking network and I think it's great if I focus on this point, a simple to understand and use app.
