Aja!!

Aja!! If you have been following my blog recently you will know that I love to make reviews about my experiences with platforms and applications inside and outside Hive, I made a video where I made a ranking of the best Frontends that Hive had based on my experience with them but I didn't make a deep analysis that time, so now I have thought to make a post commenting detail by detail why you should (or not) use some frontend, the tools that include and in general if they can bring you any plus in your passage through Hive.

I wanted to start with Hive.blog for a simple reason, it was the first website where I could use Hive, you know that posting, voting and commenting was not invented by Peakd although it seems so, Hive.blog came out simultaneously with the new blockchain a couple of years ago and had a very clear goal, to be the first steps for users who want to enter the ecosystem, no complicated tools at least not in sight, it was a raw experience from start to finish that collected several of the pros of the old blockchain as well as its shortcomings.

Landing Page

A landing page is a section of a web page (usually the first one that the visitor sees) that has the sole purpose of transforming those visitors into users, either by explaining what the page is about or with some hook that motivates the visitor to register, Here I have taken a surprise because practically Hive. blog doesn't have this kind of page that briefly introduces the visitor to all the qualities of the Hive ecosystem, instead it puts us a series of Trending Page posts and trusts that we know how to maneuver through the UI, curiously little has changed since the fork of the old blockchain and I think most of the other frontends do a better job introducing their sites and Hive to potential users.

Register

It' s a bit the same as with the landing page because the registration on Hive.blog technically doesn't exist, it's a collection of links to the other frontends' registration windows, which is not bad in my opinion because it lets us know more ways to interact on Hive.

Feature and tools

Hive.blog is not the frontend with the most variety in terms of what you can do, it just offers the basics of posting, commenting and voting. Incluso para el manejo de tu wallet se requiere usar otra web wallet.hive.blog, although it uses Hivesigner to expand its variety of available actions (such as edit the profile, vote witnesses) if it is true that it is limited in excess if we compare it to the rest of the frontends.

The post editor is quite simple, it is a lackluster version of the markdown system of the other frontends but I have always found it easy to use, yes, platforms like Peakd far exceed this editor but I found it comfortable and fulfills its function in a decent way.

Experience

Hive.blog was my first experience with Hive, I had my difficulties at the beginning like everyone else especially when navigating the site, many of those shortcomings that had this site I solved it by changing the frontend but I think the basic functions work well, I already commented that Hive. blog has this essence of being a raw gateway to Hive and I think this would be the best description for the site, it's ok but nowadays there are many better options that have a wide range of possibilities and in general a better user experience cofpeakdcof, even so, I have been able to value Hive.blog as one of those difficult sites that makes me happy to be able to master even if it was through trial and error.

That's all for today, I would love to know your opinions about Hive.blog and about other frontends, I remember this page as the first one when I tried to join Hive and it hasn't changed too much to comment something else, thanks for visiting and remember you are worth more than a Bitcoin :D

I have to say, if I hadn't found peakd pretty much instantly, as hive.blog is not quite user-friendly. HIVE in general isn't that easy when it comes to onboarding - I wish that was improved!

Hive has a lot to improve before it even sets out to go mainstream, frontends are the way to better define what we want the blockchain and its ecosystem to look like
