Hola amigos || Hello friends
About a month ago I had this on the to-do list, and at some point I wanted to do this unboxing video, but I still can't figure out how not to make these translations manual, well, I don't know if they really should be manual, what I do know is that CapCut was recommended to me a lot but I'm a little slow with these things of technology. Yes, I sound like my grandmother when she needs me to remind her how to use Google to search for a drug. That's life, we go for that too.
A while ago I was absent with the music at Hive and those were very difficult months for me. At Hive I feel at home, with the family and supported by everyone. They make you feel like one more star in this immense hive. This happened because some small insects came to my house and started to invade all the electronic equipment. Laptop, keyboard, the sound system. They were little by little arriving to each of those places. Believe me, we were attacking them with everything we could, we even searched on Google for homemade ways to scare them away from home but no attempt gave us a positive result.

I think I have already told you that I work in the mornings at one of the maritime docks in the city. I am an assistant and apprentice navigation technician. And it's not that I work all the time, but yes, it's almost part of my days. Anyway, one day after coming home from work I was getting ready to record a new song to share with you. It was ready, everything installed, program activated, vocalized, everything. I just needed to hit REC and start. Before starting the recording that will remain, I always do a test, I test the volumes and the compressor (CLA-3) that it is well adjusted and of course, I take advantage and listen to me to start adjusting some detuning if there are any. As a result of that first failed test, something was happening that the sound I was hearing was not the one my brain normally received. I thought that it was my horns that had been damaged, but I tried with my headphones and the same thing happened.

I started to go crazy, as these are my work tools and the ones I use to make music, which is what definitely calms me down. I couldn't find the error in the software or in my lapotp. Yes, I came to think that the ants were inside and had already done their thing. Something that of course I tried a thousand times not to let happen again. I took it apart and no, the laptop was clean as I had left it when I took the ants out. Nothing, I could not find the error.
I went to the microphone, unplugged the cable and put it back on, and nothing. I took the microphone out of its base and when I have it in my hand I notice that some ants are walking on me. The worst had happened, the ants had invaded the microphone. That was the damage that was causing the bad sound when recording. Of course I despaired, but I did not sense that something bad was going to happen. I took it apart and cleaned it, but I did manage to notice a black spot on its plate. When I thought I had finished the microphone pickup came out in droves, then I started to worry, they could have eaten the cardboard of the pickup. And so it was, the little tenants damaged my old microphone damaging a transit and causing damage to the sound pickup.
For a long time I was like that, without my tool to record music. But after a few long months I managed to acquire a new microphone, this one already has a month with me, yes I know, it's a little late for a unboxing but here besides that, I want to tell you a little about my experience using this new microphone which was chosen in discussion with @diegoaudio. We were discussing the possibilities and ultimately, this was the best option. What in my opinion, we hit the target.
The Mackie EM-91CU has been one of my best acquisitions. It is a microphone with a sound, weight and size. Perfect for streaming and studio recording. It works with any recording software and do usb have the advantage that if they have a phone jack would have a perfect microphone recording your interviews. Another of its great advantages is that being a studio microphone is that it minimizes that background sound. The EM-91CU its design is cardioid these microphones are designed for that, minimize background sound since the microphone only picks up the sound coming from the front. The EM-91CU even being a mid-range, has a great design and a low cost.
We often have the desire to acquire a microphone and surely we see one like this, nice and condenser type and you like it, but there is a lot of difference between those cheap and this. I tell you what we observed of this Mackie EM-91CU and is that cheap microphones tend to do in the high frequencies very shrill and that tends to be quite heavy when recording and look, this EM-91CU does not happen, usually has a perfect sound and good to handle in the software unlike mii previous microphone that honestly, often drove me crazy and it was exactly in the high frequencies (2000 and 20,000 Hz).
Yes, all these new songs that I have been uploading are recorded with this new microphone, I am still trying to adapt to its sound but honestly it is a highly RECOMMENDED microphone.
