Yesterday I tuned in to a radio station where they were talking about some applications for smart phones or better known as apps. In the framework of ideas they were describing their functions, usefulness in different branches and their impact on society.

I found the debate interesting, especially when they mentioned the number of applications that come to market and the failure of a large percentage of them. Economically speaking, it seems that applications are not profitable for common users but for businessmen who enjoy more of their benefits.

Personally I have given myself the task of looking for some apps with which I can benefit in terms of health for example and they have not met my expectations. I end up uninstalling the app from my computer and look for other alternatives. Of course, the apps I look for are free, perhaps their function is more limited than those that acquire a value in the market.

For my hiking activity I have also used apps. I want to know for example routes, time traveled and distance but, I have been in the painful situation of losing all the records because of the internet when it does not reach places that I walk.

In my opinion, these are weaknesses of the applications and therefore lose confidence although, we know that problems such as the internet escape from many sides and has nothing to do with the developers. However, it becomes a limitation.

Another weakness of apps is associated with costs. If a common customer who is not a businessman is looking for satisfaction, he is also looking for economy, in Venezuela the rents to enjoy the Internet services are expensive, added to this the connection problems are the order of the day.

With applications or apps, people seek to satisfy their needs, they look for exclusive assistance for some work or activity, but it seems that this is not always what happens at least in this country, obviously without falling into generalities.

Of the many applications downloaded on my phone, one of the ones that have benefited me the most is lumii and Snapseed, both photo editors with which I work with my own images. That is, if it is true that many apps fail, many of them are also successful and can be trusted.

For example, when I work with the editors, I benefit from several aspects. When my images have certain light or contrast problems, the editor allows me to improve them, that is, the app becomes a useful tool for my work. For this reason I give credit to these applications.

It is valuable to remember that not all phones have good cameras, access to cell phones like these may be unattainable. In these cases the tool or app, becomes an ally to give quality to our presentations.

Let's remember that the world of technology changes in a matter of seconds. The future of advances in technology translates to mere minutes of the day.

Based on this last comment and responding from here to the debate on the topic on the radio, I think that despite any circumstance we cannot afford to ignore everything that involves technology at the market level.

It is not about labeling or judging whether it is good or bad but to value so that the experts continue to work and offer through their knowledge, the needs of their customers and we are all customers.

Saludos. Feliz noche
