Dr. Rossana Calchi, an expert in birds, assigned me as team leader because of my experience with birds in mountainous areas, she suggested to the team to carry out random samplings near a river! This strategy always works because you can increase the sighting of species because a river is a source of food👦🕵️‍♀️🕵️‍♂️

EXTRAPOLATING DATA👨‍💻👨‍💻/EXTRAPOLANDO DATOS1️⃣2️⃣

  • 39 species (11 endemic) (4 introduced) were identified in a random sampling of 6 hours✅

  • 2 new species never sighted were registered in the area of merida (chorotal)✅

  • In areas with fluvial systems (rivers) species different from other areas were recorded✅

  • The areas with 0 level of anthropogenic intervention had a greater number of exotic birds than in the intervened areas.✅

  • The increase in population and livestock exploitation displaces endemic species forced to reduce their habitat✅

  • This project had a single sampling, therefore it is advisable to carry out future work on the studied area, since it shows a potential in exotic wild species✅

  • No invasive species were recorded, which shows that the area has a certain degree of conservation by the inhabitants of the site.✅

Wow! awesome post! You've spent a lot of time and done some serious work! 👍

Thank friend i like you post about the aquatic bird

Great post! Thanks for sharing all this interesting information! A wonderful selection of photos, too!
