Why do birds call? Bird calls observation

Birds call which we always notice. We can hear their chirping and hearing as I write this post. They call and they sing. They don't sing to impress you but because they need to. If you watch them when they call you will see how timid they seem. I have taken some photos to show you that you can observe.

The way the birds are calling in these pictures is probably an "alarm call". These birds are alerting others by sensing our presence. They plan to fly if the others are alerted. They call like this before flying off and after a while move to another tree. You can see the look of panic on their faces as they call out.

Listening to birdsong can make your mind feel good because it is sweet. Bird songs vary by species and are melodious. Some species of birds are famous for their songs such as cuckoos, owls and nightjars. Birds don't care whether you like their song or not. They sing mainly to attract their mates and to communicate with each other. If you break a bird's nest, they call out to defend their nest. Even if you go to hunt a bird, they call out to inform others that danger has come and you (birds) run away.

You can't always understand the birds singing. I would define their song as the beautiful pattern that birds call when attracting their mates. You can't always tell if they are singing or calling out to someone else. However, the songs are usually more complex, carrying a clear pattern and perhaps having a softer melody.

Did you know that birds also learn to sing? Yes, studies have shown that the basic call notes of most songbirds are similar, and that in many species of birds, young males imitate the songs they hear from older ones. It is a real proof that birds also learn by listening to others. When a bird learns to call from birth it is not good at singing. If you listen to the songs of birds of the same species, you will find that their songs have similar rhythms. The song of male birds is usually very beautiful and they can sing continuously.

The calls that birds make are again of different types that reflect their wants in the birds. For example, a bird warns other birds through an alarm call. Birds are always in danger. They use alarm calls to alert themselves. Birds use short, rapid and quiet calls to communicate with each other. If they feel it is more important to communicate, they make a "parting call". Birds in flight make a type of call that bird watchers call a "flight call". They use this type of call to detect clouds as they fly through the sky. This "flight call" can vary by species. You may notice or experience the screams of some birds as they fly. Youngsters usually cannot forage for food. So they appeal to their mother bird and father bird for food. Youngsters make humming calls for their food. This type of call is called begging call. There may be other types of bird calls. You can search, Reference :www.audubon.org
