STEMng Digest: Godliness without holiness = evilness

avatar
Authored by @gentleshaid

Every Friday and Sunday, Nigerians are usually seen trooping to mosques and churches respectively. Being an atheist is alien to Nigerians, but one would expect theists to holy in their characters. The bulk of the social vices seen in Nigeria today is committed by these same Godly people.

Many Nigerians believe Nigeria is bad because the government is bad. People who are Godly without being holy will commit various atrocities and back them with Bible and Quran verses.

Godliness without holiness is pure evil.

Welcome to another edition of STEMng.

Who are we?

STEMng is the Nigerian sub-community of the stemsocial community, a community that has been supporting stem authors on the hive blockchain for about four years now. While stemsocial focuses on everyone irrespective of their country, STEMng is specifically for Nigerians. The best stem contents published by Nigerians on the Hive blockchain are highlighted weekly.

Below are the posts that made it into our digest for this week:

  1. @clinton19: Weekly Science And Technology Reports - November 13
I don't think there could have been a better article or author to open this week's selection. A veteran author in the community who's been absent for about 3 months decided to come back with a bang. This time, it is about science here and there. A basic summary of what the scientific world has been up to with respect to different research. Who doesn't like variety?

2.@jaydr: SYPHYLIS; THE MASTER OF DISGUISE, LORD OF PRETENCE

Do you know of a disease, so diligent in disguising until deadly damages have been done to the body? If you know anyone apart from syphilis, feel free to engage me in the comment section. Many of us must have heard about syphilis but know next to nothing about how sneaky and deadly it can be. Thanks to our medical doctor who's chosen to educate us on the subject.

3.@medicvibes: Schizophrenia and Schizoaffective disorder

Here comes a post about mental disorders from one of our numerous medical doctors. It is not news that mental disorders are poorly understood within the confines of Nigerian societies. This is why reading articles such as this goes a long way in educating our minds and making us understand things better. Not every madman on the street is being attacked spiritually. Learn more about Schizophrenia and Schizoaffective disorders from this post.

4.@nattybongo: Blueblock Lenses and Computer Vision Syndrome
Here is a post from our Ghanaian brother. As a content creator on Hive, the chances that you spend more than5 hours staring at screens are high. Thus, reading this post about how screens emit blue lights that seem to have both short and long-term effects could save you from future eye-related issues. Special thanks to our brother for sharing this knowledge.

5.@merrymercy: The Tongue and Myths that aren't True
How much do you know about your tongue beyond the myths you grew up with? This is a good article to dispel much of the misinformation that people peddle around concerning the tongue.

And that ends our selections for this week. Do not forget to give the featured posts/authors your maximum support. Thank you in advance.

If you are a content creator on Hive and wondering how you can participate in the community, all you need to do would to:

  • Write original content or videos
  • Make it as interesting as possible
  • Adopt beautiful layout/formatting
  • Personalize your writing (it is social blogging, remember)
  • Use copyright-free images
  • Include references (facts over fiction)
  • to increase the likelihood of being discovered, use the tag 'stemng'.
