A few months ago I posted about my first 3D printing attempt. It was a pre-sliced file of an elephant that was included on the microSD card with my Tronxy XY-2 Pro 3D printer. It didn't work out well mostly due to the low quality sample filament I was using.

I've returned back to the Elephant.gcode file for a second try at printing the elephant.

The end result this time was much better than my first attempt. The model had some imperfections on the trunk and ears. The pre-sliced file didn't have any supports which it probably should have a minimum amount of.

I like the way the black PLA gives a shine to the model. One other notable difference from last time is that instead of the build plate that came with the 3D printer I used a PEI sheet for the printing surface which made the bottom of the model smooth.
