[EN-ES] The Heartthrob of Cuba, The Sparrow

These photos are my entry for the daily #qurator contest

[ENGLISH] Today in the morning a little sparrow visited my garden, I was with my camera attentive to any detail and I was able to take the photos that I show you today, I present them to you in my favorite style the monochromatic which I really like because it reveals details that go unnoticed in color.

Sparrows are the most abundant birds in my country, Cuba. They look good early in the morning hanging around the gardens and trees of the city, they have a particular singing, nothing pretty I would say, they are not very colorful, nor very showy, however, they have something very particular and that is that they are always present.

Sometimes they go inside the houses in search of food, they are so confident that you can be sitting in the living room and they pass you by giving little jumps in front.

When I was a boy I used to hunt them with a stone thrower and sometimes I climbed trees to catch chicks in the nests and then raise them at home.

These little champions take the gold medal not for their color, nor their singing, but for their presence, they are true heartthrobs, demonstrating in this way that attitude is worth more than beauty.

So far my little story of today, in this way I have told you something about my country that you may not have known and above all I share a while with you, I enjoy one more day in the community, where I have had the opportunity to know and learn many things about the photographic world, as well as to strengthen the bonds of friendship with many of its members.

[ESPAÑOL] Hoy en la mañana un pequeño gorrión visitó mi jardín, yo estaba con mi cámara atento a cualquier detalle y pude tomas las fotos que hoy les muestro, se las presento en mi estilo favorito el monocromático el cual me gusta mucho pues revela detalles que pasan desapercibidos a color.

Los gorriones son las aves más abundantes de mi país, Cuba. Se les ve bien temprano en la mañana rondando los jardines y árboles de la ciudad, tienen un cantar particular, nada bonito diría yo, tampoco son muy coloridos, ni muy vistosos, sin embargo, tienen algo muy particular y es que siempre están presente.

En ocasiones se adentran hasta el interior de las casas en busca de alimentos, son tan confianzudos que puedes estar sentado en la sala y te pasan dando pequeños brinquitos por delante.

Cuando era muchacho solía cazarlos con un tirapiedras y en ocasiones me trepaba a los arboles a coger pichones en los nidos para después criarlos en casa.

Estos pequeños campeones se llevan la medalla de oro no por su color, ni su cantar, sino por su presencia, son verdaderos galanes, demostrando de esta manera que la actitud vale más que la belleza.

Hasta aquí mi pequeño relato de hoy, de esta manera les he contado algo de mi país que quizás no conocían y sobre todas las cosas comparto un rato con ustedes, disfruto un día más en la comunidad, donde he tenido la oportunidad de conocer y aprender muchas cosas del mundo fotográfico, así como estrechar lasos de amistad con mucho de sus miembros.
