I'm not sure excel spreadsheet would work for me and my budgeting strategy....
Outgoings = X
Income = 2.5x - 3.5x of X
That's it. lol
If it the ratios ever get lower, I disregard everything and concentrate on the 'income' part. (until the ratios of earnings to are 'back up to normal').
A very clever mathematician (from CERN), once said to to me, 'if you ever have to worry about your expenditure, your focusing your energies on the wrong part of the equation'.
(I wish I knew how to use excel though...lol)

Not everyone has the ability to focus on the other side of the equation. If they did, then the global wealth distribution would not be as it is.
Excel rocks, stick around here and you will learn it fast enough :-)
