Insects have a size of approximately 17 millimeters. Even though the picture I posted tonight looks very big like a giant. This is the result of using a macro lens.

The molting process is triggered by the release of hormones when insect growth reaches the physical limits of its exoskeleton. Each molting represents the end of one growth stage (instar) and the beginning of another. An insect is known as an imago (adult) when it is sexually mature.
