PHOTOGRAPHY OF A SWARM OF WASPS (ROPALIDIA) MAKING THEIR NESTS ON LONGAN TREE LEAVES

Hello, good evening, friends, I hope you are always healthy and given the ease of every activity carried out by the almighty, amen. On this occasion, I would like to share a few stories and some pictures that I took myself, namely about an animal called Ropalidia, its species such as wasps or bees.

A herd of this species I found in the afternoon is located on a longan tree in my yard, this herd of three is making their nests on the leaves of the longan tree. Well, because I think this is a unique thing, I took the initiative to take a photo of a herd of this species for me to upload to the community on the Hive blog, I took this photo with a Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 smartphone by adding a macro lens.

Based on the quote I quoted from Wikipedia, Ropalidia is a large genus of eusocial paper wasps in the Ropalidiini tribe that are distributed throughout the Afrotropical, Indomalayan and Australasian biogeographical regions. The genus Ropalidia is unique in that it contains independent and swarm-founding species, i.e., herd-founding species, this species is estimated at up to 200 species.

Watching the three of them casually make their nests, I was very careful to do the photoshoot because I was afraid they would be disturbed by my actions, and sure enough after the few pictures I got one of these flocks flew off somewhere and I felt guilty for sure. And in the end I'm still happy that I got some beautiful pictures of this species.

Here are some more pictures of the herd of this species :

The shape of this species is unique in that it has two antennae on its head, and has three colors including yellow, black and reddish orange. The head is reddish-orange in color and the eyes are speckled black, and the body and abdomen are yellow, black, and reddish-orange.

Well, I think that's quite a bit of a story from me about this herd of species and I hope my friends here can take the positive side, and please forgive, maybe there are words from me that I don't understand or something like that. I thank you very much.
