The Harmonia dimidiata is one of the ladybird species in the Coccinellidae family (Fabricius, 1781). It has a shiny orange color with round spots on the shield. Ladybird that is about the size of a watermelon seed. Unlike other species in the Coccinellidae family, the Harmonia d. has fine hair on its shield, helmet (I say helmet because it looks like it wears a helmet), and it's head.

These photos were taken this afternoon in the hilly area of Cot Girek, Lhokseumawe. The Harmonia d. has added to my collection of ladybird species.

What a great post with excellent pictures. I very much like the calm background of your pictures. An extremely successful macro work.

me encanta los detalles que se le ven a su cuerpo, empezando por los pelitos y las manchas negras, saludos :)
