When the female is absorbed in sucking flower nectar, suddenly the male wants to release his desire. The male immediately inserts his genitals into the female's tail, and copulation takes place.

Ketika betina sedang asyik mengisap nektar bunga, tiba-tiba datang pejantan yang ingin melepaskan hasratnya. Pejantan lansung mamasukkan alat kelaminnya ke lubang kelamin ekor betina, dan kopulasi pun terjadi.
Hoverflies are a species of fly in the Syrphidae family, they are generally also known as flower flies because they love flower nectar. Judging from its appearance, hoverflies are similar to bees, it's just that they don't have jaws like bees.
Lalat hover adalah spesies lalat dalam keluarga Syrphidae, umumnya mereka juga dikenal lalat bunga karena mereka menyukai nektar bunga. Dilihat dari penampilannya, lalat hover memiliki kemiripan dengan lebah, hanya saja mereka tidak memiliki rahang seperti halnya lebah.
Hoverflies mating can occur anywhere, on top of grass stalks, or on weed plants. The male will come to the female, and what is unique, the female with a larger body is able to hold the male's body hanging over her back. Sometimes they can do copulation while flying.
Perkawinan lalat hover bisa terjadi di mana saja, di atas batang rumput, atau tanaman gulma. Penjantan akan mendatangi yang betina, dan yang uniknya, betina dengan tubuh yang lebih besar sanggup menahan tubuh pejantan yang menggelantung di atas punggungnya. Terkadang mereka bisa melakukan kopulasi sambil terbang.
